That thing that you didn't know what it was is a Pyre. It will remove your Shadow Curse when you have some on you. You won't really encounter that too much until you get to NG+ but if you take a skill from the shadow curse person when you see them, that pyre is how you can get rid of some or all of your shadow curse depending on how much you have stacked.

It gets easier and easier to level characters with the more characters you level, if that makes sense. You get the passive bonuses from the other high level classes you have worked on, also when you unlock achievements the bonus skill points and other upgrades are shared across your characters as well and you can share loot between your characters. If you farm powerful high item level gear, you can put it in the shared chest for your alt characters to use. You would just need to put the required points into the proper stats to wield the higher level items on your lower level character.

There are spells that can only be cast if you standing still. Just pause briefly then cast and you shouldn't have a problem (as long as your not silenced, cause that is a thing you will feel shortly ;))

As someone who has played it a bunch, I winced when you skipped through the starting bonuses. Might even be a good place for you to explain which ones you personally would take for the run.

What are the starting bonuses?

@OHRyePlays That menu you saw when you started your run. Chapel, Magic Shop, and Tavern. Architect is there too but that one uses town building resources so its a later game thing usually.

Let's ask them to create a new character called "Seer" and that one can have the XP gain. Also, NG+ you can modify your runs and drink a liquid that will give you +20% xp gain, and you can also find xp% gain on gear as well.

I wonder if you knew how to identify secret walls that can be broken. I know they exist, but I don’t know what the crack in the wall looks like.

I’ve watched a few others playing this game and there is treasure found inside secret rooms, you have to break walls the have like a little crack or something. It’s not obvious to spot. But I guess you might not be able to walk around hitting walls for too long.

You are a paladin with a shield, you could tank ranged attacks including from towers and traps(both arrows and flamethrowers). You also missed a lot of cracked walls. 26:10 You stayed in this area for a while with a cracked wall. 44:00 You talking about a cracked wall then leaving. Top corner of the dead end looked like a cracked wall to me.

@@OHRyePlays Try it. Clear the enemies first then stand in front of a tower or trap. Don't forget to aim your shield in front and watch out for poison arrows and fireball trap. Also works on some attacks of the first boss.

Just wait until you get too NG+1 where the real game starts (it's really not much different but more challenging for sure)
