I "fell" into praying this chaplet just a couple years ago, but I'm still learning more about it. Just in the past 20 weeks I learned that we are to pray the chaplet for sinners, the sick, and the dying. I know it was within the past 20 weeks because that's when my brother was diagnosed with cancer. I prayed the Divine Mercy chaplet at his deathbed every day in his last days, and he took his last breath within minutes after I finished praying it at the head of his deathbed. I prayed this version, because it's the one that meditates on the Passion of Christ. As I prayed some of St. Faustina's prayers at his bedside, at each mention of joining suffering to the Holy Cross, and for strength to remain steadfast upon the Cross, and for the grace to accept the will of the Father, my brother tried to say "Amen." He couldn't say it well, but he nodded and his voice was firm. Two nights before he died, I found an image of Our Lady holding Her Holy Infant with His Sacred Baby arms outstretched to the viewer. Someone had turned it face down and was using it as a placemat on his bedside table. I had to advocate for his religious rights even though he died at home, because some in the family are pagan or other Christian denominations. They didn't think my brother was Catholic, but his friends said he was, and that he attended Mass (he had lived in another state since he was a young man). He couldn't speak, but when he saw the image of Our Lady, he grew agitated and insisted that we fix it to a curtain over the head of his deathbed. We did, but it wouldn't stay, so someone fixed it to the wall beside the bed. The next night we had to move his bed away from the wall to the middle of the room because he needed so much care, he couldn't lay down, and he needed someone on either side to hold him up, one person alone couldn't do it. I knew he believed that if he died with the image over his head, that Our Lady would show him Her Holy Infant t the moment of his death, and that the little Baby Jesus would greet him with open arms, so I prayed to Our Mother to remember that he desired this, and to spiritually place the image over his head upon his death. So I believe he had both the graces from having the Divine Mercy chaplet prayed in his presence as he was dying, and the holy image placed spiritually over his head. The expression on his face at the moment he took his last breath was peaceful. A little while later, a smile appeared. He died less than two weeks ago. His children had him cremated yesterday. Please pray that they will honor his wishes to send some of his ashes back to his childhood home, so that we can lay them to rest in hallowed ground.

K.A. I too believe in the Devine mercy chaplet prayer. A priest whom I adored got me to start praying this prayer before he died.💔😭 I knew nothing of this prayer till I met him. He was Wheelchair bound, Father John Lombardi went 3 times aweek for dialysis, he had heart problems and other issues but never complained. Father said Mark,Jesus went through worse than what we all go through. (AMEN) Our suffering doesn't compare too what Christ went through. Every day at the hour of 3 pm i say this prayer for the one's dying in the hospitals. "No one dies alone" especially those who have nobody to pray for them. St.Faustina said, praying this prayer for the one's no matter how far they are, Miles away doesn't matter. Even the most hardest sinner will receive his Infinite mercy. I pray this prayer especially those whom don't believe in christ. And remember too alway add your name to this beautiful prayer. On every bead I add a name or group even my old friends and neighbors, teachers. "For the sake of his sorrowful passion have mercy on (K.A) and the whole world" For the sake of his sorrowful passion have mercy on___ and the whole world. I get great satisfaction/ comfort saying this prayer. I have said this in the presence of those on their last moments on earth. ❤ I appreciate your message K.A. May the Lord be with you always.

If one looks into the history the Polish nun Sister Faustina, (1905-1938), this prayer is very powerful and can be said in conjunction after a Rosary. This is where the painting of out Sacred Heart can be seen, Jesus' heart, aflame and rays of red and white....... the healing and forgiving as the prayer says: 'In atonement for our sins and for that of the while world.' Thank u for providing this Chaplet -- the human race needs to pray all it can in these end times.
