What would we do without the Marions. Even though,I belong to a parish, I watch the Marion fathers all the time. God bless these wonderful souls.

I was aware I needed Grace but I could not answer what is it, and I kept crying out to God "What is grace?" Until one day when I was praying this I had an epiphany and it was this; My crying out to Him was Grace - My thinking of Him was Grace - My praying was His grace, My every good thought and holy thought and good/holy desire was actually His Grace!! I was elated and thought I would just float right out of my skin from the joy it gave me.

Fr. Gabe, thank you for the clear explanation on what grace is. It’s flowing abundantly in the Catholic Church where Jesus is in the Blessed Sacrament. May we always take extreme care not to lose our participation of God’s divine life in our soul by sin and ingratitude. Dear God, help us to be faithful to you always and forever.

Thank you Fr. Gabe. l would like to hear more of you in the future. l am in my dark time of life's journey, l found this video very helpful. l want to talk to those people who are in the same situation like l am -- feeling lost and in doubt of my faith. l wish there would be more priest to bring us back to the faith-- Being not yet mature in faith, like a child still need to be nurtured, please help us who needs help and protection so we won't be the lost sheep wandering and drifting away (we need guidance to bring us back-- life's daily burden and trials come so strong that if not mature enough like the Bible said it (the faith) won't grow rather be stuck (paralyzed) or die. I need help.

Father Gabe, if I am understanding your explanation correctly the only way to get grace is through the 7 sacraments?
@DivineMercy_Official Жыл бұрын
Thank you Mark for the comment and God bless you. While we are constrained by the sacraments, God is not. God can give Grace in any way he wants but the way we are guaranteed grace is by the sacraments.... but that is correct that does not mean it is the only way. However, it is the one sure way because Christ gave his authority of his grace to the church. God bless you and thank you

DEAR FATHER CHRIS and FATHER GABE . I PRAY AND HOPE YOU ARE WELL. PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME OF MAKING A CROSS OUT OF PALMS ON PALM SUNDAY IS ALLOWED AND ACCEPTABLE BY OUR CATHOLIC CHURCH. MY MOTHER WHO IS 77 YEARS OLD JUST MESSAGED ME AND SAID THAT SHE HEARD THE FOLLOWING.. I SHALL QIUTE HER.. "Today at Mass, Father explained & requested that we should not make cross out of palm, which we get on Palm Sunday... Palms were used to Welcome Jesus with Cries "Hosanna in the Highest".... Which is a cry of praise and also means Save us... But when we make a cross out of the palm we convert Palm Sunday into "Good Friday" and showing the cross would mean "Crucify him"... Someone made a cross out of palm way back and that was followed and became a tradition, it is time we change these old traditions... " Please don't make a cross out of Palm, this Palm Sunday. He request to go home and share this with others, hence posting It." DEAR FATHER PLEASE GUIDE ME SO THAT I IN TURN CAN GUIDE MY MOTHER.

Luke 1:28 And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” The angel Gabriel is about to talk to the virgin Mary. “Greetings” or χαίρω/chairo in the Greek. This is a form of the word χάρις/charis or what we know as “grace”. The word means to rejoice or be glad. Gabriel is approaching Mary in a graceful and joyous manner. “Greetings” …O favored one… This is how Gabriel describes Mary. This is the Greek word χαριτόω/charitoó. Again, this is a form of the word χάρις/charis or what we know as “grace”. Strong’s Concordance defines the term as endowed with grace or graceful. Gabriel approaches Mary in a gracious manner and then tells her she is favored with grace because the Lord is with you!” Mary’s response to grace… Luke 1:29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. The translators were kind with the wording “greatly troubled“. This is the word διαταράσσω/diatarassó. The verb is defined to agitate greatly. The prefix dia- in the Greek indicates intensity. Mary was thoroughly perturbed and anxious. This is Mary’s initial impression. This is not exactly the response one would think someone should have when visited by an angel from the throne of God. Gabriel comes in the grace of God and He has to deal with a disturbed young woman. This is the earthly vessel for Jesus Christ. Mary is not finished. She tried to discern or διαλογίζομαι/dialogizomai. Again, note the prefix dia- which denotes intensity. She wants to reason, debate, or consider. Mary is doing some serious thinking and trying to come to a logical conclusion. She is questioning reality. What is going on? Luke 1:30 And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Do not be afraid… Gabriel recognizes that Mary may not be comfortable with his appearance and he is reassuring. Gabriel perceives her to be φοβέο/phobeo. The word can be defined as afraid, terrified, or frightened by Strong’s. In English, we use the word phobia. Then Gabriel calls the young lady by her name, Mary. Imagine if you were Mary. A strange being, who you have never met, shows up out of nowhere. And the entity knows who you are and calls you by name. Gabriel reminds Mary. …for you have found favor with God. Emphasis here is on the word “favor”. This is the Greek word χάρις/charis. It means grace. Gabriel approaches Mary in grace. He tells her she has been supplied with grace. And Gabriel closes his introduction and reminds Mary, God has blessed her with grace. Despite her attitude and response, Gabriel covers Mary in God’s grace.
