Thank you for making these talks I really love listening to them. I actually feel, because I'm in college right now, when I studied science I actually feel closer to God. But my question is if Copernicus was a priest why don't we refer to him as Father Copernicus. I did do a little research and I found that instead of a priest he was a canon, who do take vows but they're not fully priests? Is there proof that Copernicus fulfilled his duties as a priest such as performing a mass or participating in sacraments such as weddings and baptisms?

There was also Bishop mark Anton De Dominis, he wrote about the theory of light, splitting light via a prism, and the theory of the rainbow. He became the Dean of Windsor in the 1600’s. The Vatican did accuse him of being a heretic.
@alhilford23452 жыл бұрын
Actually, de Dominis really was a heretic, but it had nothing to do with his scientific discoveries. He wrote a book attacking the Papacy, moved to England and was welcomed by King James I who appointed him Dean of Windsor. Dominis continued to preach and publish heresy against the Church.

We look at the known universe through telescopes. The earth does become the central point. While some areas are not equally explored because there is too much to view. Think of it as a circle with a telescope at the center. Theologically speaking, creation is centered around the earth whose residents must have God as their life's center. Cheers!

Cosmologist on Geocentrism: “You Cannot Disprove It” “People need to be aware that there is a range of models that could explain the observations. For instance, I can construct [for] you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds. In my view there is absolutely nothing wrong in that. What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. A lot of cosmology tries to hide that.” ~ George F.R. Ellis, Professor of Complex Systems in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, 1995 (1) Notes: 1. Gibbs, W. In the end, Galileo ended up agreeing with St. Robert Bellarmine, who firmly believed that the earth is motionless in the center of the universe. Please see below: “The falsity of the Copernican system must not on any account be doubted, especially by us Catholics, who have the irrefragable authority of Holy Scripture interpreted by the greatest masters in theology, whose agreement renders us certain of the stability of the Earth and the mobility of the sun around it. The conjectures of Copernicus and his followers offered to the contrary are all removed by that most sound argument, taken from the omnipotence of God. He being able to do in many, or rather in infinite ways, that which to our view and observation seems to be done in one particular way, we must not pretend to hamper God’s hand and tenaciously maintain that in which we may be mistaken.” ~ Galileo Galilei, in a letter to Francesco Rinuccini, 29 March 1641 (1) Notes: 1. Drake, Stillman, Galileo At Work: His Scientific Biography (Chicago, London, The University of Chicago Press, 1978), p. 417.

Fr. Chris, heliocentrism with its (allegedly) spherical or spheroidal earth (the sophistical basis of modern astronomy) is a complete fable that was brought to ancient Greece by Pythagoras, probably from India. Without the preceding centuries of heliocentric thought, evolutionism would not have taken root in academia and popular culture in the late nineteenth century. For a website providing a detailed explanation of this problem, search the web under the term 'plane geodesy' or 'planegeodesy'. God bless you.

In 1616, Pope Paul V defined and declared the following by way of the Holy Office; (1) “That the sun is in the centre of the world and altogether immovable by local movement,” was unanimously declared to be “foolish, philosophically absurd, and formally heretical [denial of a revelation by God] inasmuch as it expressly contradicts the declarations of Holy Scripture in many passages, according to the proper meaning of the language used, and the sense in which they have been expounded and understood by the Fathers and theologians.” The Council of Trent defined that when all the Fathers agree on an interpretation of Scripture it cannot be changed. Galileo argued it was the wrong interpretation as he believed heliocentrism was correct. History and two priests in this video, now agree Galileo was right and the Church was wrong. In other words, they claim the Fathers, popes and theologians made a grievous error on a matter involving the Church’s interpretation of Divine Revelation. Since 1741, when churchmen, began their U-turn based on their belief that Galileo was right and the Church wrong, a new conjured up version of the Galileo case had to be invented. One of which is contained in this video. Here is Pope John Paul II’s Commission version as to how and why their U-turn began: ‘In 1741, in the face of optical proof of the fact that the Earth revolves round the sun, Pope Benedict XIV had the Holy Office grant an imprimatur to the first edition of the Complete Works of Galileo.’--- Church Commission on Galileo; 1992. So, what is the truth. Well while Fr Rippeerger and Fr Spitzer tell you Galileo was right and the Church was wrong in this video to comply with the above, the truth is far more suited to the Catholic faith. And what is that? Well I to will quote Einstein as follows: ‘A text approved by Einstein: “We cannot feel our motion through space, nor has any experiment proved the Earth in motion.”’ Ah yes, after 400 years, science now admits relativity prevails for human science. In other words: ‘‘Whether the Earth rotates once a day from west to east as Copernicus taught, or the heavens revolve once a day from east to west as his predecessors believed, the observable phenomena will be exactly the same. This shows a defect in Newtonian dynamics, since an empirical science ought not to contain a metaphysical assumption that cannot be proved or disproved by observation.’-- Bertrand Russell. Note what Bertrand Russell (1872-1970) and all physicists using the ‘scientific method’ for the last 100 years have to admit; that their science cannot tell us the order of the world for certain, for spatial relativity makes it a metaphysical matter. Accordingly, what Pope Paul V defined and declared as heresy in 1616, is a matter belonging to faith, something beyond human science but not beyond revelation as described in the Holy Scriptures. In other words the Church has its teaching and was never proven wrong.

And the evening and the morning were the second day 14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good

The Crusades: the Turks in the Ottoman empire were deliberately targetting and killing cristian merchants who returned from the orient where they brought cotton, colours, spices (especially spices) silk etc. Often merchants travelled in groups of merchants for protecion in large convoys and sometimes they had priests with them. This is what the turks did to christians in Greece (I am of the older generation when the Greek system taught to the teenagers what the turks did to the greek crisitians now they do not anymore): they slashed open the bellies of pregnant women, mass systematic rape (the Greeks were a blonde blue eyed race and you can still find them in little tiny villages in the most remote parts of Greece) to the point that they changed their racial somatic traits, they stole the children as a form of tax, both boys and girls (needless to say that some ended up as practically slaves in the harems and where discharged into nasty places once they lost the virginity, and the boys became or Sultan guards - to whom they even amputate the tongue so that they could not reveal the Sultan's secrets and other where made to become deaf so that they also could not hear the innermost secrets) and were just meat for war they were taught nothing about their families- ) they took cristian priests and tied them to roast them alive on the same stick on which today they cook the Kebab. I could go on but is best if I stop there I suppose that I given an idea of what the Turks were like and why were loathed all over in the north mediterranan sea coast. In Greece in 1980s, there was no greater insult than calling somebody a turk .To ask for a turk coffe was a declaration of war to death. The cristians in the land were needed to till the land for taxes so the Turks did all the above things but still kept some normality but what they did to the merchant travellers is even worst. When the crusades arrived there they had heard for decades over and over all the horrors made by the Turks even from the priests and from travellers and from all the people who had invested in the merhants activities and lost their money and the means of making money and it was becoming harder and harder because the culprits were not punished becasue in muslim religion they do not own cristians or jews to keep their promises, nor to be kind nor anything at all any atrocities is considered ok for "kufra".

@@DivineMercy_Official it is unclear, but he took the oath of celebacy. Another think is that Einstein thought that the universe was static so much so that he invented Einsten constant, but then Lemaître fund a mistake in his calculations and proposed that it expands and that it may have a begining. Another thing is, that most scientist agree with big bang theory though it has some isues, but this is common for physics theory. I dont want to critisize these videos, as in my opinion are the best videos about our faith in internet and I like it very very much. But this is my area of interest and I just wanted to state these comments.

Pope John Paul 2. He was a genius of the genius's. His father was a military officer and every morning they went to Mass, came home for breakfast where he taught the military and history of Europe. Some of his best friends in school were Jews and he knew that under the Polish Lithuania Commonwealth, Poland was the place where in the Bible when God was very angry due to the 12 tribes, other than a remnant, were worshiping Satan Baal, God said I will scatter you among the Nations, but I will provi a safe place for you. Poland had a Constitution and Bill of rights for all people because it was Christian (1600's) nation of Catholics. The Jews thrived and were free. What happened? Entente. Where all the Kings, which were all cousins, form a Confederate (treaty) to wipe an ethnic group off the face of the map (earth). The Deluge. 30 year war where the Swedish Lutheran King attacked Poland every day for 30 years straight. Lutherans were more Barbaric than the Mongolian Hun, hell wolves. Half the population slaughted and those left were eating tree bark and grass to survive the starvation. Ended because the Merceneries wrote in their contract the would not fight against the Polish Winged Hussars. So Wallstreet destroyed them by undercutting the price they sold wheat and grains. Just like China, Walmart destroyed Mom & Pop stores in America. President, Senate & CIA were on the board of Walmart.

He was expressing "Divine Mercy" by not exposing the truth, whole truth. He appologized and opened the door for a return appology, but none came.
