DIVING FOR ZINCS

Fort Bragg, California. Noyo Harbor. Watching my friends change the zincs on their commercial fishing boats.
ZINCS on boats serve as sacrificial anodes, which are essential for preventing corrosion of metal parts on the vessel that are submerged in water. The purpose of these zinc anodes is based on the principles of electrochemical corrosion and galvanic protection.
The primary purpose of zincs on boats is to act as sacrificial anodes, which help to prevent corrosion of the more valuable metal components of the boat. By corroding preferentially, these zinc anodes extend the life and maintain the performance of critical underwater parts of the vessel.
DAVITS on a fishing boat are vital tools for handling heavy equipment, deploying and retrieving small boats, and managing fishing gear. They enhance operational efficiency and safety, making them indispensable in both commercial and recreational fishing environments.
GURDIES are essential mechanical devices on fishing boats, used primarily for hauling in fishing lines, nets, and gear. LEAD WEIGHTS. The weights used on these boats range from 20 lbs to 60 lbs and are used to take the lures to deeper water.

Right before you said the water temp I thought “Oooh, I bet that water is cold!” Thanks for sharing, I never would have thought you needed to do things like this or that you have to change gear to fish for different fish.

I'VE GOT ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA FOR A VIDEO. I LOVE STAYING AT HARBOR LIGHTS OVER LOOKING THE HARBOR, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE SEALS, FOG HORNS, AND SEAGULLS. WHAT I NOTICED WHEN I WANTED TO SHARE A VIDEO ABOUT THE HARBOR LIGHTS. I ONLY FOUND ONE VERY FUZZY, OUT OF FOCUS, OLD VIDEO ON KZbin. CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. THAT DIDNT GIVE THE MOTEL THERE ANY JUSTICE. SO HERE WE GO GEE BEE. YOUR THE MAN TO MAKE A NEW GREAT 4K VIDEO OF HARBOR LIGHTS; ABOUT ITS ROOMS VEIWS, AND LOCATION. GREAT FOOD, AND EVENTS BELOW GOING ON CERTAIN DAYS OF THE WEEK. THATS IF THEY GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO DO DO. I THINK, DONE RIGHT IT COULD BE A GREAT TOURIST VIDEO. TAKE CARE BROTHER.
