I did two dives in Cozumel earlier this year. First dives ever. Going to Roatan next summer to get certified and we are staying for two and a half weeks for more dives!! So excited!

when I was a kid, we lived in la ceiba and my parents say roatan was a sleepy fishing community with a dirt landing strip. In "91 I got certified there and recall walking to a tree house on west end beach by way of beach-because there was no road yet. Frazier's pier was the end of civilization, more or less. I went back in 2003 to find the entire beach bustling with tourists and shops/hotels.

What is that at the 2:20 mark that seems to sprout up out of nowhere
@apoc6683 жыл бұрын
Those are Christmas Tree Worms! Usually only found living inside colonies of Porites coral. These guys were actually the inspiration for one of the creatures in the movie Avatar.

@@apoc668 you talking about those flowers in the movie that basically disappeared when they touched them? I remember that part

Keep uploading!! this is great material, love it!just got a gopro, what do you use for editing software, do you colour correct your videos or use a red filter?
@apoc6688 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I used GoPro studio for this video but I've switched to PowerDirector now. There was some minor software color correction done but a red filter is a must. I use the Backscatter Flip 3.1 system for shooting.

Why are most peoples dive suits dark colors, is this a safety issue?
@apoc6687 жыл бұрын
Cordelia B It's just personal preference. Most of the wetsuits on the market are all black or black with some other color trim.

are animals making noises underwater?
@apoc6687 жыл бұрын
Cordelia B I think the noises you are referring to are from another divers signaling device. It's basically just an underwater noise maker to get someone's attention.
