Very nice.. however your flood valve is way undersized... If you need to swim out that flood valve will not fill that quick enough. maybe 10-12 minutes to fully flood but that's a guess.. you should to a trial on that

Cool video. Square view ports may be a weakness you should research. Square corners are prone to cracking. Round view ports do not have that weakness.
@PlanesBoatsandSubmarines
@PlanesBoatsandSubmarines 3 ай бұрын
Thank you. (I address that concern in our Q&A video from a few months back in more detail). However, the viewports are safe for it's shallow design depth and have been reviewed by a submersible engineering firm. Round is the standard as it should be for deep diving submersibles, but this sub only dives to 60ft and the square viewports are rated well above to 320ft based on stress testing since they are square.

The more important factor is that it's for use in shallow water. Also where there's enough light to see, and all the pretty colorful stuff like coral reefs and nudibranchs live. There's not much good reason to send humans into the deep sea, it's a pitch black frigid desert with sparse life, better to send robots given the danger. The shallow sunlit waters of the continental shelf make for a much safer, and pleasant, playground for this sort of vehicle. That's not disparaging amazing machines like the Limiting Factor, but we don't need a hundred of 'em.

Im sure youve had the same thought, but you need more cameras such as a dive camera for what may be below you *Make sure you have rescue instructions written on the barrel with a waterproof walkie in a wet box so people can communicate with you (including people who accidentally come across it unsure if you even need the help), and I'd make a secondary beacon that you can release, it floats to the surface and emits an alarm and strobe
