Thanks again. Question? There are so many people afraid of sharks 🦈😳! I work with 9 guys and 4 can't swim and of course are scared of the ocean or what's in it! How often do you see sharks and the ones you do see are te very dangerous? I appreciate your time and safety in your drives!
@OceanEarthGreen3 жыл бұрын
the fear of sharks come from media and movies. It's always negative "great white shark bit ..." but it's rare and great white sharks aren't common in southern california even though they are around. The most common types of sharks you'll see in the southern californa shores are Leopard Sharks and Horn Sharks, both are harmless to humans. Other less comman sharks are Tope / School sharks and 7 gill sharks which could be dangerous to humans if they are provoked. To find sharks on purpose, it's actually difficult and you have to go to specific areas during certain times of the year for a good chance. I highly recommend going to La Jolla Shores in front of the Marine Room (restaurant) during Sept to swim with the peaceful but very large Leopard Sharks right off shore. Best times are between 9am and 1pm. you call also call the local surf shops before going and ask if the sharks are there yet.

the water looks so clear ? is this normal ?
@OceanEarthGreen3 жыл бұрын
no, it's kind of rare. Only a few weeks of the year does it get really clear.
