That’s not true. The reason is that the fuel there is controlled by some private people there. The government can’t really control it there because West Papua has a ongoing conflict.. that is the only reason!! I was there 2014 living in a family house on a remote island. So beautiful! Don’t go to these resorts mentioned. Go to private homestays where the money really ends up in the hands of the locals!!

West Papuan in general are closer to their Pacific islands neighbors than to the Indonesian. The reason why West Papua are within the Indonesian legal boundaries is due to both were Dutch colonies.

Raja ampat was the reason I started dive lesson. Everyday when I dive it's just don't feel like enough. You guys are lucky since the Kri is closer to Waisai. My resort kinda far, far away from Waisai. 2 hours trip with boat but it paid off with some exciting little baby sharks play right under our jetty, sometimes with the whales and mantas, etc... I think the term of, heaven on earth is truly exist and that's what is called Raja Ampat! 😍

@@fabiolazamora773 most of Indonesian people are only get paid 2 - 6 milion rupiah per mounth (150-450 USD per month). That is why most of Indonesian people can't go travel like what you do. We mostly travel only in our island or fly to the other near our island that is not expensive. Like me, I only travel in Java or Bali cause I'm from Javaa and I hope next year I can go to Kalimantan & Sumatera island. If we wanna go to the other country, most of Indonesia people are choose Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand cause the flight are very cheaper only 50 - 200 USD.

I used to lived in Sorong for 7 years... Everytime When the school off, me and my friends, most of them have boats... So we just went from Sorong to Waisai with boat, less than 2 hours with speed boat. We explore raja Ampat for hundred Times... Yeahhhh that Made a good memories of life... Next summer i might bact to Sorong... And go explore raja Ampat again

There are many diving Course in Indonesia and you can get diving license in Indonesia... You should try to find out in the Internet, maybe you can get a good price than in your home country.

I always wanted to go to Raja Ampat but when I researched the accomadation and transport, I realised it's actually very expensive. You can't just jet off on a plane and do it like Bali. Its expensive to make it exclusive, Yes! besides the remoteness of course. Its underwater is the highest biodiversity in the entire world. Should keep it like it is. Thats why as well not much advertisements about Raja Ampat done by Indo government. Only the hardcore travellers /keen scuba divers would make it as far to Raja Ampat.

Personally I feel that is the wrong choice because it sets the bar WAY TOO HIGH after one of the most amazing diving places in the world (Komodo Rivals this, Bunaken is also quite nice and has good food

Unfortunately I can't afford to go to this place. Looking this video is enough for me to feel this place haha. Hopefully this place will not be so touristy we must protect the corals and the islands.

It's not gonna get busy quick. Expensive and tough to get there. I hope they don't open direct flights from Bali cause that would definitely create some crowds.

Raja Ampat is the best!!! There are lots of places in Misool and Wayag too which are the icon of there. You should travel to those places, recommended! We got the travel vlog there.
