Worth mentioning PUCS has a port for drugs that automatically inject the wearer at 50% health, and when it's in a breathable atmosphere it doesn't use onboard oxygen. Slipsuit swimming speed is so fast that scooter is no longer really necessary. For cave and ruin missions slipsuit is amazing.

Things to note on some of the advanced suits plus some misc things at the bottom: The mech suits(funbringer 3000 and exosuit) have storage on them making them good for trips where you need to carry a lot of items. AND the exosuit can use the HMG without much recoil with a low skill level. Pucs has an autoinjector slot activates below 50% hp meaning you can put combat stims or smthn to use mid fight(yes this means you can have 2 drugs on at once when you use the headset in combination with it). Also it doesn't use oxygen when in a breathable atmosphere thus making it useful to just always wear. Slipsuit can be faster than the scooter speed depending on what things you have to increase swimming speed and fire extinguisher underwater is fun(rumors say it stacks with swim speed making it potentially faster than the scooter). Gathered from various comments here and from research of my own others for easy viewing. Also you can store spare suits on the sub on the ground inside the sub incase you want more people inside your barsuk or other ship. Optional mention goes to husk genes/zealot robe/(spoilers for husk church quests) as that lets you breathe underwater and not be crushed. allowing you to wear normal armor outside the sub and not be as limited in mobility as the exosuit. Which certain armors can increase skills so that might be worth it. Or using the safety harness for rushing water resistance(it may possibly work against water currents in caves making it a good mining partner with a buddy in the mech suit) allowing quick repairs in and outside the submarine. (note spoilers and zealot robes give regen spoilers is a lot zealot is a third of that) Misc useful notes below: Not diving or pressure related but: if you carry a medic's fatigues(or doctor's uniform) in your hotbar you can store 3 healing items there for quick access and clean up inventory space. Also certain big guns can be put on your back instead of the toolbelt as an example the HMG. allowing you to switch between hmg and another weapon(or a riot shield) quickly. (hoping for heart so people can see this info instead of wandering the net to learn as i did). Check replies for bonus notes as editing removes the heart making it harder for others to see.

any additional notes will be added in this reply as editing comments removes the heart. Little submarine fact: The mechanic talent retrofit works on tier 3 subs allowing level 7 hulls. Combine that with Iron Storm and suddenly a barsuk only run becomes much more feasable allowing it to be easier. Husking doesn't let you survive in the abyss keep that in mind it's only useful in the regular section of the level And not needing oxygen also regen. You will need an abyss suit or an exosuit.(or disposable but that aint permanent). Though debatably the abyss's dangers sometimes arguably make it safer than the regular level depending on biome thus husking is still worth it. An extension on the husk genes tidbit: Bandolier goes on the armor slot meaning you can infact raid a nest with a bandolier if husk infected and having robes have fun with all the bullets and faster shooting you want. If we combine wifi components and make them link to chat(enablable in server settings not just sub editor) with a terminal and some text displays. You could possibly effectively communicate as a husk as having it in the radio and around the sub with text displays for those not radioing. Before they are removed if you have MECHanic and enough swim speed it is much more efficient to carry a storage container. Also i learned that the funbringer doesn't have storage SORRY for the error hwoever it has a honk blast that causes hallucinations and a gun.

I've found that PUCS is simply the best for singleplayer campaigns with bots only Cuts down on the time required for them to find a suit before fixing leaks, less cleanup, and if you're doing transport missions there's suits for the personnel

my bots always wear their diving mask while using the pucs and refuse to slot the oxygen into the pucs and then they die

Like I said in the last video there is no middle ground with this channel and I love it. You're either getting a video that is pure chaos and will give you a hearty chuckle that you will repeatedly come back to or you get an incredibly detailed and nicely displayed helpful video on Barotrauma, be it testing out equipment or building and wiring. Honestly I love the points system you set up and explained for the protection. Just a straight no nonsense "here is the best scenario for these suits" and at a glance you say "huh, okay, I want this suit for that scenario." Still confuses the hell out of me that a suit that can stand at the bottom of the Abyss and give a Charydbis the finger as one of your buddies blasts him with your fifth nuclear shell handles burning as well as the basic suit. Keep up the outstanding work and I'll continue to look forward to your uploads.

Because of these videos I started building my own boats again and while the design aspect has been tedious as hell (put reactor here, battery well there, etc) you've made the part of wiring it together and not having it look like a rat's nest insanely easy and simple to understand. Also adding cameras to my ballast tanks, weapon swaps, and that pneumatic tube system were quite literal no pun intended game changers.

When I was using the Exosuit in my last campaign, I would carry a Fire Extinguisher with me instead of a scooter as it made me swim as fast as someone in Combat Diving Suit with Scooter :))

Had a scenario when one if my crew equipped a disposable diving suit. I didn’t think about it that much and even laughed about it when we were setting out for a beacon station. Everything was supposed to go according to plan until a tiger thresher had drawn out our time out at sea. By the time we were heading back to the submarine, the durability for the disposable diving suit reached zero, and we couldn’t get back in time, causing my crewmate to explode under the pressure. I'm a bit late to the party, but by calculating the average of each suit, we can create an ordered list of the suits. (Best at top, Worst at bottom) 1. Combat suit (2) 2. Slip suit (2.4) 3. PUCS (2.8) 4. Abyss diving suit (3.2) 5. Diving suit (3.4) 6. Exosuit/Fun bringer (3.6) 7. Disposable diving suit (4) Keep in mind that these are just plain stats, which do not account for custom mechanics like the PUCS automatic drug-injector, or the infinite oxygen supply of the disposable diving suit. I personally tend to find the Combat suit the most practical, but the others have their own uses and importance. Subscribe to InitialDesu or you shall be put inside the supply cabinet!

I wish the slip suit was like 10% faster and also buffed scooter speed or was 30% faster but got slower with scooter like it's basically just slightly faster combat suit so long as you don't have a scooter like give it some distinction maybe lower some of the resistances but buff the speed like so long as you have a scooter the combat suit is better because it allows you to at least run then

It can shoot banana peels and cause hallucinations for short time.

Unlike the Exosuit however, it does not have any item storage slots. It has a built-in arm cannon which shoots Banana Peels and the wearer can activate the "Honker Blast" which will cause nearby characters to hallucinate for a short period
