Been waiting for this for so long it seems , the missing link to keep my fm tones tuned … love the combo of modules mostly got I’ve got em all and replicate , I think it’s the one brand I’d like to have a whole system of , it’s so clean and precise , as close to a digital synth , but with that analog infinite resolution .. and in such an economical package ,, 1 or two , hmmm. , lol

I was spoilt by the my first oscillator the Livewire AFG which has dual v/oct ins. Precision adders (VPME T43 is a favourite for generating intervals too) help sort out the rest.

What’s the mixer you’re using? Is it a wmd performance mixer? I ask because afair i can’t recall you having much if any wmd.

The mixer in this was the After Later Bartender. I've used the m1 WMD mixer for a long time as my live mixer. I like the faders for fading things in with more minimal ambient stuff. I haven't worked much with WMD, would love to do more. I like a lot of what they're doing. There's a good few WMD modules here though older and newer.

I’m curious how is the double v/oct work, does it trigger/sequence 2 different signal/wave at the same time?

They act together over the module, so you can, for example send it a sequence on one and transpose it by sending a keyboard cv to the other

@foxendeavor no it's not two oscillators under one control set. It's sums the two sequences like a precision adder would. So if you send in a 1v signal into the first that will take it up one octave, then you send 2V into the second v/oct input it would go up 2 octaves more so a 3V total shift in pitch.

Gut reaction is that they're pretty different (though I'll have to search banshees reach to remember all it does - maybe they're not)

@ I was most interested in a simple/solid VCO with vari-wave and both modules tick the box here. Banshee Reach has TZFM&PM and a noise mode whereby a digital source modulates the analog core of the VCO. Cycle 5 is less feature rich but it’s 2HP smaller and Joranalogue who I have a soft spot for 😅
