Judge Faith is the product of getting-by on the basis of her looks. She's attractive.. and in this Entertainment sector that is over-valued. And just like the pretty-girls/mean-girls from highschool, she never fully developed her ability to empathize with others. There are moments in this episode where you can actually feel the Judge's concern and empathy for the family. The only thing you can feel with Judge Faith is Faith's indignation.. or her ego.. or her snarkiness.. condescension.. it's all about Faith. I've never seen her connect with anyone. And in her presence, we almost never have a chance to really _see_ the people and _hear_ their stories.. becaus Faith is talking _the whole time_ .

Well, the couples would have to have something to say first... I mean Judge Toler knew when to drop out. I don't blame Judge Faith, I blame everything else. The studio for example. Even still with Judge Toler that change didn't sit well with me immediately. The couples are another thing... It's all about the social media every single episode (sure this is a different decade, but still it all now just seems so trivial). There's usually no serious problems, just bunch of crazies. The judgements don't really matter either, because there's no real problem there, they are usually just advice about a relationship. Here we're dealing with actual problems, with significant judgements (like 18k in house or 9k bills for couple's child's medical bills in the other OG episodes). The show made horrible changes and then allowed any tv appearance hungry "couple" from the street to come in. Judge Faith took over an already sinking ship.

I believe that wholeheartedly. He never really acknowledged his children like a father does. He talks about them with no emotional connection. Like they are objects. That wasn't clear until he talked about the Dog. When he said, "That's _all_ I want".. it felt like he wasn't talking just about her. She tried many times to get some reaction from him about all that she went through trying to conceive a child.. but he emotionally _looked right through her_ every time. I don't think he has empathy for anyone. The dog made him seem human for a moment.. until the mother revealed the role the dog played with his children.. and he had nothing to say. He really really does not want anything to do with those kids. And that's super-sad.
