If alimony is legal , then dowry should also be legal. Men should take at least 4 times their own net worth as a caution money(call it "dowry" or whatever) from bride's father as an insurance of this relationship. 50 % of this money can be paid to woman in case in future she files for divorce and demands alimony, maintenance, etc.

Marriage is a great business for Indian Women. Men specially Hindu men should avoid marriage. Please take hefty dowry at the time of marriage and invest it properly. It will be essential in case of divorce settlement.

But what about the girl's family spends on expensive marriage and the dowry is extra . And the girl will not get any property from her parents because they spend too much on marriage. If most of the cases woman wants to earn the man's family is not cooperative she has to do the household chores, child care and office work. Most of her earnings are enjoyed and controlled by her husband and in-laws. It is not even enjoyed by her or parents who gave her education. Marriage is great loss for women not men . Now men may suffering by the marital laws . But women are suffering by the marriage itself.

@@FXT130 It is only on legal books brother but in reality it is not happening no father or brother agree to give property to woman after spending so much on lavish marriage. In divorce cases women only get the share of revenue of her husband not from his property as maintenance. After his death also she gets only one share of her of husband's property. Most of the women in our country are not claiming their legal rights of property from her parents because they don't want to spoil their relationship with their parents and male siblings. By the way, It is men who made marriage as business by accepting huge sum from woman's father who is also a male. In your first comment you also said men should drag huge sum of money from woman's father. Then you are also making marriage a business. If men do it is right if women does it is wrong where is the logic brother.

For men marriage is high risk affair.. There is no guarantee that no false case would be lodged in his lifetime by his wife and there is no law to protect or compensate men. Men should not marry till laws are corrected.

Sometime i think that at least muslim community is male dominant and hence very few cases of men getting harrassed are seen in their community. Hindu community is utter chaos , respecring law and getting screwed by wifes.

When it comes to anything related to ladies, the justice system treats them like 12 year olds. No accountability needed from their part, Like an overly protected parent. On the other hand gents are treated like deviants from the get go. Shame on the justice system, Even the most draconian systems have some level of fairness. Not in India however.

Only goes to show that our judicial - legal system is singularly unreasonable, unreliable, plain dicey. One cannot even convict a terrorist easily having records implicating him/ her what to say of matrimonial matters 😂. Moreover the intermediaries in the process namely the lawyers in india are totally an unregulated group of professionals. Unregulated in every sense of the word. Therefore like in possibly in every other brush with the law/ courts in India it is best to sit across and work out a deal, a compromise with the otherside. Even if it appears an unbalanced, inequitous one on the face of it.

In many Islamic countries the girls father ask for a hefty dowry before marriage. I mean more than Hindu men asking for dowry. Watched it in a documentary. But at least its upfront cost and no surprise. That is the best part. But you can't ask for money later nor the men or the women in case of divorce. You pay whatever upfront. I guess its good. Men in other societies get caught up by surprise knowing it was a game played on them. It kills them emotionally and mentally that is not good for society.

My advice to young men: 1. Don't think marriage is love, nowadays it is only a one sided business where only women benefit from it. 2. Avoid marriage if possible, it doesn't bring you any benefit. It only bring you pain and suffering. 3. By your marriage you put your whole family at risk, mom, dad, sisters, brothers, all of them at risk. 4. The moment you married the whole society will treat you as aliens, no one hear you, listen to you, help you. Even if you die you die alone. Think twice before you do it, marriage for men, risk is more than reward. Thank me later.

Intentionally using complecated words in courts to misguide people just to earn money . England may not use such words . Just for the sake of money this game is going and it will continue till the end of Kaliyugam. This is our fate.

Marriage is a business. Remember a girl will not marry a person who is earning less then her. The big reason is she is making her safety for divorce so she can extort money when needed! Men marry women who is not earning or less earning. So use common sense! Thats y in US many men dont get married! We need to so same😂
