Video description - Radha Gokulanand Temple is an ancient shrine, located at Vrindavan, in Uttar Pradesh. It is in between the Kesi Ghat and the Radha-Raman Temple. Radha Gokulanand temple is built by Shri Loknath Swami. Radha Gokulanand temple is a bhajan kutir of Shri Loknath Swami who was a great devotee and associate of Sri Advaita Acharya, who is considered as the “Leela Manjari” in Braj Leela. When He was young, He went to Sri Navadwip Dham and took shelter of Lord Chaitanya. Lord Chaitanya instructed them: “Go to Vrindavan and wait for me till I arrive there”. But when He finally arrived in Vrindavan He got to know that, after 2 months of staying in Vrindavan, Shri Caitanya Mahaprabhu had left for Prayag. Hearing this Lokanath Goswami fainted and when he returned to consciousness he decided to go to Prayag the next morning. In the night, Lord Chaitanya appeared in his dream and told him, “Vrindavan is the abode of all My pastimes. I want you to stay in Vrindavan and never leave the boundary of Vrindavan Dham. Vrindavan is a non-different form of me. Very soon, Rupa Goswami, Sanatana Goswami, Raghunatha Bhatt Goswami, Raghunatha Das Goswami, Gopal Bhatt Goswami, Jiva Goswami, will all be coming to Vrindavan. I want you to live with them. You should remain in Vrindavan and you will always feel My presence.”
In this temple there is the small Radha-Vinoda Deities of Lokanatha Gosvami, the larger Deities of Vijaya Govinda of Baladeva Vidyabhusana, and the Radha Gokulananda Deities of Viswanath Cakravarti. The small Deity of Krishna in front of Gokulananda and the Deity of Caitanya Mahaprabhu were worshiped by Narottama Dasa Thakur. Viswanath Cakravarti arranged to have this temple built. Formerly, all the Deities in this temple were worshiped alone, in their own temples. Originally, Viswanath Cakravarti worshiped the Deity of Gokulananda at Radha Kunda. He then moved to Vrindavana and stayed with Lokanatha Gosvami. Where this temple is located is where Lokanatha Gosvami would do his bhajan. When the original temple of Radha-Vinoda fell apart, Viswanath Cakravarti had another temple built and called it the Gokulananda Temple. Both his Deity of Gokulananda and Radha-Vinoda were worshiped here.
