I had not heard that. I'll have to look for their music. Thanks for mentioning that. But you're right about it not being the same without Natalie. I miss the good 'ol days.

I don't think they left her. Natalie said in an interview with Howard Stern that the other two would be keen to make another Dixie Chicks album but that she's the one who's hesitant. She even said that she didn't want to do any shows this summer but the other two and their manager wanted her to. It is a terrible shame, although she said that she is still a Dixie Chick and they haven't broken up.

I know... what a big deal over practically nothing. What a shame it ended one of the best musical talents out there.

Same here. Maybe they'll come back someday.

I saw the Howard Stern interview with Natalie and she stated they had new tour dates. I looked them up and only saw Canadian tours.

Yeah, I think they're doing 4 shows. I really wanted to go to one of them, but ended up sick. :(

The two sisters have their own group, called the courtyard hounds. It's not the same without Natalie and without her they are not as big either.

I don't think it ENDED anything. I just think it STARTED an era where "Country Music" DIDNT mean back-roads 'N Hillbillies... Natalie Maines & The Dixie Chicks started a movement that will never end! I HATED country until I heard Dixie Chx... OKC Man to GRL Luboc

I don't think they're over forever. Hopefully they'll do a comeback tour or something. Until then, you'll just have to move to Canada!

I think they left Natalie because of the comments she made about Bush and the backlashing it caused. However, they were cheering her on when she said it, besides she has the right to say what she wants. It was not like she threatened to hurt him or even said he should be hurt. Natalie just said she was ashamed he was from Texas, not even ashamed about him being president. WHATEVER !!!!!
