DIXIE DEAN. His Story, In his own words. HOMEBREW STUDIO 2023 (c). WILLIAM RALPH (Dixie) DEAN. First edition made during lockdown in 2020, this is a sound enhanced version. We have also added some extra footage. Produced my Matt Dean, this film is a tribute to his Grandfather and to a player who still holds records that probably will never be broken. He played in the 1920's and 1930's. It is made from old film footage, pictures and a newspaper tape recording of him in the 1970's. As a Liverpool supporter my grandfather told me about this man and said he was the best player he had ever seen and after watching him on you tube i now have total respect for him and what he achieved with the pitches they played on and the tackles they received and the goals he scored, hahahaha he should have played for Liverpool but i totally agree with me grandfather
