Now here's a health to the next ole Missus An' all the gals that want to kiss us; Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land But if you want to drive 'way sorrow Come and hear this song tomorrow Look away! Look away! Look away! Dixie Land I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray! In Dixie Land I'll take my stand To live and die in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie. Away, away, away down south in Dixie.

Correct - where COTTON is king! The Union invaded Dixie for control if Southern cash crops, like COTTON! This short telegram, from William Tecumseh Sherman to Abraham Lincoln, is dated December 22, 1864. “I beg to present you as a Christmas gift the city of Savannah with 150 heavy guns and plenty of ammunition and also about 25,000 bales of COTTON,” Sherman wrote. Slavery was legal under the Constitution, laws of Congress and SCOTUS. Therefore, a so-called war over slavery is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
@fishhead9612 жыл бұрын
@@MGTOWPaladin you clearly don’t understand history friend. War is waged for multiple reasons. It was a war on slavery, but also a war to preserve the Union. The reason slavery was still legal in states like West Virginia is the Union didn’t want to risk secession. That’s why they waited till they beat the confederacy to abolish it. Also The main point of the war was to bring the south back into the Union. Why did the south secede… they were scared of losing slavery. So yea it wasn’t entirely slavery but it was a big factor
@MGTOWPaladin2 жыл бұрын
@@fishhead961 Actually, both of your claims are false and unconstitutional. The Constitution gives NO AUTHORITY to the federal government to "preserve the (voluntary) Union"! If so, lease show me the law! The Constitution, federal laws of Congress and SCOTUS decisions all prove slavery was legal so you are claiming to be a traitor to the Constitution and the Union claiming you have a right to war over slavery. You must be another Yankee who thinks rape, robbery and murder is okay but slavery is bad!

@@str8whitemale842 The Union doesn't exist without the Constitution. Lincoln violated it - continuously! He had to invade the South to control southern cash crops! In other words, to preserve the Union Treasury. Abraham Lincoln's INVENTION of Presidential War Powers: Facing the unprecedented crisis of civil war in 1861, President Abraham Lincoln invoked his "war power" as commander-in-chief to "take any measure which may best subdue the enemy." Defying the chief justice of the United States, he suspended the writ of habeas corpus by presidential decree. He also declared martial law, authorized the trial of civilians by military courts, and proclaimed the emancipation of slaves--all on the grounds that "I may in an emergency do things on military grounds which cannot be done constitutionally by Congress." In so doing, Lincoln vastly expanded presidential war powers and established precedents invoked by later presidents. jmp.princeton.edu/events/abraham-lincolns-invention-presidential-war-powers#:~:text=He%20also%20declared%20martial%20law,expanded%20presidential%20war%20powers%20and housedivided.dickinson.edu/sites/lincoln/speech-on-war-with-mexico-january-12-1848/ “In treating the history of Texas, Lincoln uttered words that would return to haunt him thirteen years later when Southern states left the Union: “Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and for a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable, - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government, may choose to exercise it."

You’ll never see me flying the battle flag outside my home, and I am most certainly glad the United States won and abolished slavery, but I commend the bravery and honor of the common men who fought in the rebel army. For this reason I solemnly respect them, and respect all people’s rights to fly that flag as a symbol of rebellion - but I do fully condemn those that use it for racist and violent ends without question. If they want to use a Confederate flag for hate crimes and rallies, they should use the government flag instead since it was the elitist planter class that wanted to keep slavery in place at the expense of both the enslaved and of the free Southern yeomanry. They drafted thousands of men to fight against the United States whether they wanted to or not, and had them wage a pointless war which did nothing but waste money, time, and lives. Anyone who says the Civil War was not about slavery is fooling themselves, and the Confederate government would not have been quick to change their ways if at all. All that being said, I respect the soldiers above all else for their courage and bravery worthy of a much better cause. Even as a Northerner I find it abhorrent the comparisons of the average rank-and-file soldier to any member of the Wehrmacht, who even the most gentle of which is still ten times the monster that the worst Confederate soldier was. For one, it’s a demonstrably revisionist approach to history. For this reason, I feel that if anyone feels like they want to fly that battle flag as part of their regional identity or symbol of rebellion, go right ahead. Otherwise, they’re just human garbage.

i was born in South America...the Democrats in the USA were the slave owners, not the Republicans..(Southern Democrats founded the KKK).and Democrats pushed abortion as ethnic cleansing since the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, in th 30's..pioneer abortion..and WHO INSPIRED HITLER ACTUALLY! (also Hitler adopted the salute Romans created for "HAIL CEASAR"...which Mussolini started using, and also Hitler adopted the SWASTIKA, invented by Hindus in India, who created the "casts" ..society separation by class)...some black men also bought slaves in the USA...they say the 1st slave owner in the USA was a BLACK MAN..In Africa, slavery was created by black African tribes who got the despicable idea of kidnapping OTHER black African tribes and selling them to Arabs 1s/Persians etc..the white men had not even risen to power yet! ..Egyptians owned slaves. the Muslim slave trade was huge ..Romans bought slaves..MORE slaves were sent, presumably for higher demand...to SOUTH AMERICA than North America...In the USA, slaves were liberated..in Argentina.., they seemed to disappeared? (in wars they fought down there?)..only 10.000 blacks or persons from African descent were found in Argentina as of ..2015!? so...Lincoln founded the GOP and pretty much got a bullet in the head by a DemocRat actor for his resolve to abolished slavery, which came from his Christian believes.....Lincoln ABOLISHED slavery...slavery wasn't abolished in other countries...where to this day they have slaves!...(many in Latin America have slaves, in secret, street kids, orphans...are kept prisoners, used for work etc)..it's just not a public or blatant industry...in the USA many laws were written to protect people since the 50s and 60s specially and they made discrimination ILLEGAL..(in MANY other countries you can discriminate all you want)..(Also the NRA was founded to help blacks specially, but ANY person who might be lynched, as lynched people were blacks, but ALSO WHITES!)..so;..clarifying this, which many people don't know....we grew up, in the 50's, 60s and 70's ..very clearly judging people by CHARACTER not their race..DUH! this was natural OLD NEWS..i never heard my parents deny this common social mode of living...But i love US history...and i LIKE the confederate flag! ...besides the USA flag...IF anyone is a JERK or ARSE...it's their upbringing, and no matter what RACE they might be or what flag they want to fly..there will always be evil OR punks or show-off and pranksters too! ..STAY CLEAR OF THEM!..Some don't really HATE but grew up watching stupid glamorization of criminals or Nazis by Hollywood and they love the uniforms too!.. & they want to shock or scandalize people..i ignore them! be safe all! & as MLK Jr said JUDGE BY CHARACTER, & also UR FREE!.(not in Africa or Asia tho..) BUT IN THE USA< Europe, not Australia right now..or even in the USA right now on the ..MODE of repression/oppressions etc..which WILL PASS!..but i go out of my house ..anywhere i want..lucky dont have to travel or go into places...And i dont work where they will FIRE me if i dont have the vaccine?!... LIKE SLY STONE SANG= Don't you know...you're FREE...IF YOU WANT TO BE!.
