I don't really like Crowd Hill's "one in, one out" concept behind their Vault - other than creating artificial "exclusivity" it serves no purpose. Also it's totally not how you build a vault, quite the contrary. They claim it's because of server costs, but i find that hard to believe, given other companies of similar size and nature don't seem to have a problem keeping their free stuff online for forever.

I agree, I also found a trojan virus in their installer so deleted it without actually trying their “vault”

Many of their free libraries lead into later commercial releases. Crow Hill is basically a small new developer, and they want you to keep coming back at least once every six months to see what they are selling. Lots of free VSTs out there, so you can always go to other sites.

I'm going to shout out SoundPaint again. Instrument sound great. They just dropped some nice functional guitars as part of their freebies. I can get a lot of work done in that interface. I touch my other plugins a lot less now. Keeps me focused. Lastly, their 4.0 version of the software is coming soon and is going to provide some compelling filters and features.
