Yes.. as we were using very light jigheads(1g-3g), lighter polyester line will allow us to sink them to the strike zone.

We don’t use lure. We use soft plastic(rubber) with jigheads for Selar.

Maybe you would like to let me know what kind of line do you use. I personally use polyester line ranging from 1.2-2.3lb. So I normally use size 1000-200 shallow spool reels.

@@DixonicQ I usually use ester line similar range as well with you. Maybe getting a spare spool with 4lbs braid in case.

@@nazrulrahim1570 if you’re using same range as me, my opinion is that your current reel is not the right size. Spool is too deep and drag not as fine. Try getting a high gear shallow spool 1000-2000 size reel. You can try Daiwa - Luvis airity FC LT2000S-H - Exist LT 2000S-H Shimano - Vanquish C2000SHG - Stella C2000SHG
