You had me at the 2:28 mark in this video. I was trying & frustrated in removing the old Bemis toilet seat (hell, I have no idea how old the seat was). I looked under the seat/toilet base and saw some butterfly wing screws that I was able to loosen and remove the old toilet seat. Thank you so much for this video! I was able to install a new Bemis toilet seat with no problem. Thanks again!

Non-mechanical person here, I read the printed info on the Kohler toilet seat box, got my Phillips head screwdriver ready and was foiled. I did toss out the old and put on the new seat with your help.

As soon as you said you were going to hold the top of the bolt and unscrew the wing nut from underneath the toilet, I was thinking - this dude has NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE, Lol!!! Of COURSE, the easiest, correct, and most OBVIOUS way to do it is to UNSCREW FROM THE TOP! That's why they make it with a Phillips head. LOL
