Although this video was a failure I appreciate you uploading it because it shows me I should go to a professional. Cheers

There is science involved along with a skill set that allows you to identify the pattern or sequence to maneuver the metal to its original shape. The best way to describe what you did is.......You placed your foot in front of the door and tried to pull it toward you. Then you kept pulling harder until you broke your foot. I have spent the last day or so learning PDR the fundamentals. Had you done that you might have had a 3% chance to clear that dent. I gave you Three percent just because had a PDR device. That is a complex dent with two 90 degree crown across a body line. It will require another a series of tool that would exceed the actual cost of having a Professional PDR tech to repair the dent. So make sure follow up by saying "Honey, you got the be careful with the dents because i can't fix them with a $20 kit like I thought I could.

I’m no pdr tech but I would knock those crowns (hi spots) down first or while your pulling, that’s where all the tension is. Try buying a slide hammer.

Let me save you time and money. The glue will not stick to many surfaces including plastic type materials. I tried for hours leaving the glue on for 3, 5, 8, 15 and 30 minutes. I tried 10-12 times and it would not adhese to my plastic bumper. It's a simple small shallow noncreased dent. I pushed it out in 20 seconds with my hand and a hair dryer, but it took me an hr to access the back of it. Hand suction dent pullers work, but couldn't get one in the location I needed it on my bumper no matter the size. Don't watse your money because it's likely only going to work under ideal circumstances and in maybe 10% of dents and the results vary too much.

have to hammer down the crown spots in order to pop out the dent

WARNING IF USING THE HEAT GUN If you plan on using the hot glue gun, be careful. Yesterday I worked with it plugged into the normal 230V home electric socket for less than an hour and it casually EXPLODED in my hand. Luckily I didn't get burned (I just had a black stain on my hand were the end of the gun was), but when the cable exploded, it got ripped off the case while the other end was still plugged into the electric socket, so I was milimeters away from being electrocuted. I can't reach the manufacturer, so you will probably see me under various videos warning others. Stay safe

You should use PDR method on these dents. Remove that splash guard to get behind the dent in the fender and slowly & gently push & tap on the highs & lows till it’s back to near normal.

use hairdryer to have better results, or hot water to soften the metal/plastic. Ive done it on my car with hot water and a suction cup that i bought from Ikea store for 5$ (they are very good) and done a tool with it myself.

It looks exactly the same. Maybe you could pop it from inside the fender.

You need to tap down that high "crown" of the dent before pulling... A pdr slidhammer would be better for that specific dent...

i heard in another video that the instructions say it doesn't work on dents that are around creases and ridges like around your wheel in your video. Also the instruction says allow glue to set for 8 minutes, which may be why you had an issue. I ordered the kit and it came without glue so I'm had you used regular glue, did that damage your paint at all? How did the regular hot glue wash off? thx

Wish I would have know about letting it set. I think I only waited a few minutes. I used goof off (orange oil), magic eraser, and elbow grease.

the glue will come off with just a little 99% alcohol, if you heat the work area up a little it is easier to pull dent on difficult areas like a crease.

Next time try to use the black glue it’s stronger and it worked 10 Times better for a dent that was similar that I have pulled out

I tried PDR with only limited success. Much like your experience, it just didn't give me the repair I was hoping for. I think for the do-it-yourselfers, don't waste your time and money. If you want to get results, go to a professional. They will likely have about $1,000 + in tools and lots of training. Good luck!

When you have creases in your dents those things are useless. They're only good for minor dents and dings

Best way to fix a dent on wing? Go to a car breaker buy a wing of the same paint shade bolt off bolt on.

You should have heated the panel and used a panel hammer to knock the crown's down.

You would think to look on KZbin for other reviews on that very product and seen pretty much the same results without wasting your money on it. I can't be positive but it seems like last year I seen a review on it and it failed I don't know if I seen it on KZbin or on TV or what but I knew from the gate when I seen you pull it out of the package it was going to be a failure because of the other review I had seen. I bet if you looked around on KZbin you would find it. Oh well maybe next time. How come you haven't been working on your scooter at all?
@JoeysGarage6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, I was hoping a cheap and quick fix would work. As for the scooter, that’s on hold. I don’t have much content for it. Only thoughts are performance upgrades still it’s already highly tuned it. But that’s high costs and time. I’ve reached out to scooter parts sites for partnerships, but haven’t had any interest

There's a lot more involved with Paintless dent removal than just "pooping" out the dent. We as dent techs use much better equipment and wouldn't actually use glue pulling method for where your dents are located.
