The best video that I ever seen regarding to this topic, very informative, easy to understand and clear step by step.

Thanks! Great video, I need to do my 2010 TSX, I'm pretty sure it's extremely similar. I've already replaced a ballast once. I'll report back after trying. One thing you might add to your process is running the wire thru the headlight cap before crimping connectors on. Then you could drill a smaller hole and seal it up much easier with just a dab of something.

So do these LED’s need a resistor of some sort? Last thing i wanna do is mess up the entire headlight harness because of the power output of the LED’s

I have an 04 tsx. The previous owner already converted to a LED Lasfit D2S. I bought the correct bulbs and installed them. For some reason the lights will just shut off after 5 minutes. The next day they come back on but will shut off after a few minutes. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

it may be a defective item, easiest way to check that is take the bulbs and swap sides it the issue follows the bulb then is a bad bulb is the issue is still on the same side for example the driver side headlight then most likely a bad connection or a bad fuse.

Would it bea easier to just take out the whole headlight assembly or do you have to take the bumper off?

Dosent the led have little fans that need airflow to keep things cool?
@socalaccessories66873 жыл бұрын
Correct they do have Fans to help keep the Chips cool but its fine with the dust caps on the kits have a 1 year warranty and would not want to tell someone to not put that caps back on because then you will get moisture into the headlights
@Kai_DC23 жыл бұрын
when i did mine (last week) i didnt have to do all of that. all i had to do was put the led bulbs in and was able to use the -/+ pin from the bulb and just put them right into the connector -/+ and that was it.
@socalaccessories66873 жыл бұрын
thats the way we do them but the kits dont usually come with that type of cable we just have alot from OLD HID kits we have laying around so thats why we showed how to do it this way.

What then was your solution for putting the dustcap back in place? Yes, just connecting the LED wiring to your headlight wiring without splicing anything would be best, but I do not see how to avoid drilling an extra large hole into the dustcap for the connectors to fit, so you can put the dustcap back in place.

@jamesmunro96614 жыл бұрын
It might be. I'm looking into doing this because Acura is charging 500 CAD for each ballast, plus 200 per bulb and 100 for each igniter. I have a flickering bulb and no one is willing to even try to fix it unless I replace all the parts. I don't have that kind of money for a car from 2006. If I can get the lights to work properly for a couple hundred bucks and never have to worry about those *#$^ing ballasts ever again, perfect. Getting the ballasts swapped out is a giant pain in the butt, especially if it ends up NOT being the ballasts.

the kit i put the link for is for the low beam you can also make the high beam led but that size it uses is a small H1 size so you will have issues not being able to fit the dust cap back on
