Nice wall I just have one issue with this: why did you use jigsaw for cutting the panels? I mean they are plastic you could use some sharp scissors to cut them and it would look way better, now you have a gap on the angle wall.

I have just bought the exact same tiles for the walls on the entrance hall to my house in England. I am doing the bottom 3 feet in wooden vertical cladding pieces 4 inches wide. I am then adding a dado rail and putting the 3d panels on top. The wall is not exactly flat and I cannot be bothered to knock off all the plaster and start again. You have done a great job there. It is so hard to do a sloping part properly but you have managed it well. It just needs a bit of white filler putting in the gap and you will hardly notice it.
@VaideRx2 жыл бұрын
Thanks bro ! Yea the imperfections are hard to see and I also came up with other solutions that helped with it , needed up putting lifx lights which covers it completely . I replied a month late checking up to see if you finished your project ??

How messy is the liquid nails adhesive if you decide to take the panels down from your wall down the road?
@VaideRx3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t know since I haven’t taken it down but my assumption is that it might be messy, you’ll probably rip down the sheet rock paper . The adhesive is very secure after is applied

Hi! Thank you for this. I’ve been researching to make a 3D wall in my apto and your video was very clarifying. I have some questions. You decided for liquid nails. Did you consider double sides tapes to be easier to install? Did you find out any down side about it? I realized it’s much more expensive than the liquid nails, but do you know if it holds well? If I decide to use the liquid nails, I don’t know how many tubes to buy. Can you tell me how many tubes you spent and how many sq ft was your wall so I can calculate for my wall? Thanks again! Amazing video.

Looks solid but I'm not a fan of the middle left side panel and some of the upper ones I feel like you should have rotated the panel so the flat edges line up and the gap you can put your hand through would be up against the wall. Maybe you ran out of material or just didn't notice until the end. I want to do this myself but it seems like a ton of work.
@VaideRx2 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t worried about the angled wall as much since I planned to put the lifx lights to cover the imperfections. I was more concerned about the actual edges from the panel matching together Through out the wall. You'd have to build it out with planks behind. If you're going from wall to wall then you won't really be able to see the difference. You'll know it's a false wall but others won't if done correctly

Hey man thanks for the video. Few questions, I have a gray wall, do you think I need to paint it white first? And my other question is the directions say you should start from the center of the wall and work out, is there a reason you started from the edge/corner and do you think it makes a difference?
@VaideRx3 жыл бұрын
Wassup Michael , if you are thinking of covering the whole wall with the panels I don’t see the need to paint the wall . I started from the edge to prevent less cuts from corners that were exposed. I personally wish I started from the right bottom side , that would have prevented less cuts which would have gave me a cleaner look, work from your setup perspective and it will flow naturally to your perfections 🌊🏄🏾♂️So word of advice , focus on the corner that is most exposed to your eyes.

Personally I would’ve purchased the bamboo material version. Reason being is that the pvc panels aren’t really healthy for you to breath in. They got a whole bunch of chemicals that you’ll breath in overtime. Since you’ll probably spend a lot of time in that room it’s better to get an alternative material (bamboo) ... in my opinion. Great vid tho

I know you tried your best but I wouldn't accept that quality of workmanship, you would have had a better finish if you had first started from the door frame going towards the corner of wall so you get the clean full peace of the panel on the part you see most then you should have used combination of double sided tape and glue to adhere the panels quick and maintaining the zero gap when sitting beside each other. good luck though.

@VaideRx3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have any anxiety while doing it the only thing that I would’ve changed is I would’ve focused on starting from the right side of the wall then work my way to the left because it was most exposed when coming up my stairs you see the right side of the wall first and then the left side is Chyna the back wall that makes any sense.
