LOL what way to start a Sunday morning. I use an alternate way of doing the brakes. Take a small piece of plastic down to the mechanic and wave it at a machine and just like magic the brakes are done :)

another way to take the cones out is to get a tube or a socket that is bigger than the cones and hit it with a hammer the same "way/direction" you would with the brass drift...

@@Alex.G I admit I’d never seen your adventures on your channel as I was only searching for repair advice. However after watching your heartfelt final video I thought to myself why don’t they just keep doing the backyard mechanics segments? Simple yet funny as hell and much less work I’d imagine. “Beat it like it owes you money” 🤣 “loose as grandmas knickers” 😂😂. Too good, hope all is well🤞

@@johnfowler5012 Most viewers of the adventures came about after searching for a how to and watching a backyard mechanic actually! They are still a fair bit of work, a 1 day job becomes 2 or 3 when filming it. Then another day to edit. If I still had access to a good size shed I'd probably do it though

Love the video but unfortunately the best improvement you should have done was installed the LN106 brake calipers instead of old 60 ones... I know original and all but 60 brakes are notorious and this small mod makes it so much safer on the road.

For a real brake upgrade on the front... use hilux, j9, j7 imports, hilux surf, kzj7x. The brake pads have a much larger surface area which will upgrade stopping power. The original 60 front callipers are the same as on a uk lj70. Very surprised you didn't upgrade the calipers!

Can the brake pads you mentioned fit with the stock caliper LandCruiser comes with as standard Or need to chase up the caliper for the disc pad upgrade
