Dont forget to reverse the wires in your welder, when you have shielded wire they are reversed from non shielded. Look it up.

Another fantastic video mate loving the content and love the DIY aspect of the bar build showing people you dont need all the tools in the world to get a useful and mad looking bar. Keep up the good work mate and keen to see more videos of this beauty of a 60 series

If you are getting weld spatter in your boots, you should try these things called pants. They are like shorts, only longer, and they completely cover your legs and hang over the tops of your boots. Pretty good for keeping stuff from falling into your boots.

Damn I had no idea. Pants? Ok, I’ll do some research 😅

@@favouritejay i recommend the pants that come with two legs. They are just more convenient.

I reckon you only need one recovery point on the back, anyway, It’s already there ;) (tow bar) Tough designing as you go but really impossible to have a complete plan from the start for this project. Looking forward to see how it comes out.

I hear ya. It’s just so much trial and error and so many people have so many great ideas that I just keep chopping and changing. I just need to commit and finish it.

No expert but I believe when you switch gasless to gas welding you have to switch polarity. That's why you weren't penetrating.

How the hell did you get to the inner dome nuts with the towbar in the way hahaha

I don’t understand bro? Nothing went wrong. The bar was perfect in the end

I know, thats what im impressed with hahaha. Most people ive seen removing these end up grinding the heads of the dome nuts off to remove. Im currently trying to get mine off but the inner 4 dome nuts seem impossible to get to?

Bump the heat and slow the feed. Better yet, TIG it. So your recovery points are welded 3/16"? Is this right? You are better of piercing the plate and welding it from both sides. This is weird to me, but you've got a channel so it must have worked. I learn something everyday I guess, but I've been a steel, and ti fabricator for 22 years. I hope it all works out my man.

It's not difficult to build a better bumper than ARB. ARBs bumpers are all way over engineered, overpriced, and over-sized. They are huge, bulky, and expensive, for no good reason. The only reason they sell is because of their brand name. Nobody buys ARB bumpers for their functionality, because literally any other manufacturer makes much better bumpers.

Definitely an over exaggeration on my part. But for the $$$ I spent building this, it’s a bargain. Even if I build another 5!
