I'm definitely going to embroider one of my drawings. I've been planning that one long before it became a trend. I'm also going to do the denim fringe. It is so funny how colored jeans are back. I wore pink and maroon denim in high school. Bahahahaha.

Remember, if you want to stop the fraying from becoming too big later, a very thin zigzag around the edges where you want to stop in jeans thread before washing them, so that when the whole expands with washes and wear, it stops there. Helped me with some pairs in the past.

I am 5'3", so any time I'm able to find thrifted jeans that fit in the waist and hips, they're usually regular length. I have no choice, but to cuff them until I can find time to hem them. Not all of us short women actually like or even look good in cuffed jeans. Now, I do like how that fringe turned out. I would probably put some fray check on it to keep it looking fresh. Also, I love how the dyed jeans turned out!!! Bleaching first looks like the way to get the best results. Great job!! 👍😄

Wow. Once again, better than I could have imagined. Branching out to explore embroidery and dyeing was more than I could have asked for. Your instructions are so clear and helpful. Even though I've dyed quite a lot of fabric, your instructions for dyeing bluejeans helped me see the value of bleaching before dyeing. Very useful information especially for those of us who upcycle. Also, your instructions for the embroidered jeans from how to find a single line design on the internet, to transfer the design onto jeans (or any clothes), to embroider a single line design, and then how to make that design your own. Using white to add to the black embroidered silhouette of an African American woman was brilliant in so many ways. The resulting image is a fierce and graceful image of feminine power bringing together two contrasting colors. Inspiring in so many ways. Great work, Angela.

I usually don't wear coloured pants. Only the classics : black, white, grey and denims. BUT , this particular shade of green I would try. Very beautiful. Well done. You can be a pro in that. As about bleaching, an idea that just came to me from the first try result, only bleach some parts of the jean like knees, pockets, thighs etc and then soak it in the paint so it's still blue with a little infusion of other colour.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos! A thought/ tip I had for the DEEP CUFF cuff jeans (apologies if already mentioned in the comments), would be to fold up the cuff I wanted plus SA. Cut it off, then add the substitute fabric to put back the length where it will be hidden and re-attach the cuff for a cleaner look. That way the patch to widen the leg will be invisible and the resulting cuff seen is the original jean fabric. Your videos are my latest obsession. I love your style.

Hi Angelina, It's good to be back. I've had a really rough year so far. You were such an inspiration for me last year. Last year literally ended with my mom passing Dec. 31. 6 of my 7 family, including me, were sick with, you guessed it. It's just been rough. Just lucky, you can say. No God got us through. Life is starting back to normal now and I am back watching you for my inspiration. I just had a hard time using my mom's sewing machine. So. My absolute favorite was the embordiery jeans. I think it's because it's more unique. I think I liked the single color better, but I am having a hard time bringing prints back into my wardrobe. Here's my takeaway from your video. My daughter and I are going away in a few weekends and I started a denim refashion for a travel bag. I had thought of dying it, as well... you don't find many purple jeans and purple is my FAVORITE! So I have been forwarned, now, about how it may not take the dye well, without stripping the color off, as I was going to just dye over it. Second, I am going to add some kind of embroidery to the bag, single line style. I am not sure the face would be good, as the space sections would be limited, so probably butterflies and flowers??? Also, adding fringe now. So, not applicable to my bag but the pants. I probably will try the embroidery and dye on pants. Maybe for that weekend, as I do want new clothes. Still have all those jeans from last year. Whether its in two different pants or the same, not sure. However, the other ideas, for various reasons, I won't use. First, the distressing, I'm 58. Not sure that really is something my age wears. Second, not really a fan on me. Perhaps it's the time I grew up in. Maybe I'd think differently if I was even 40ish. Because of my weight, mostly, and my height, the fringe would make me look even bigger than I am, and trust me, I don't want that! But I do like it. Same goes for the cuffs. Perhaps its because I remember Mom saying, your short, cuffs cut you off making you look shorter. Honestly, being close to 60, and losing her recently, I do have a different outlook on things. But the biggest problem is the date. Winter is on its way and I live north of Detroit. So, maybe next summer. lol. But all are great ideas for taking plain clothes and upping the game, if that is what you want. Thank you, Angelia for being an inspiration! :) Sorry for the novel, but I haven't posted in 9 months. Lost time to make up for, lol

i love this video! i'm going the make the wide cuff first! then i will do the green dyed pants, you are so right, that is huge now. in regards to dying fabric, it is easier to get the color you want if you whiten the fabric first. also i double dye sometimes. i dye the fabric, let it dry and then dye it again to get a deeper color. then dry completely again and then put it in the dryer at a high temp to heat set it. the color lasts longer this way too! thanks and i can't wait for ANTU hurry!
