When we first decorated we were childless. After our first child, we realized there were different stages causing us to change our decor. First there was crawling height safety and removing of fragile items. All electrical sockets got covered. Second stage was for the new walker and climber. We bolted bookcases to the wall, or like Ikea says "tether". More things were removed at this height and replaced with soft toys and thick card books. All cords were tucked away or removed. After the seek and destroy phase elapsed, we could start putting out our decor again, within reason. Good luck beautifying your home.

I love the new accent/entry wall! The framed wolf picture is captivating. The key rack is so beautiful with contrasting colors to the cedar wall behind it and it serves such a necessary function. I am thrilled to see that you deliberately placed some low hanging fruit for precious Ember. She is going to love that! I wish that the beautiful dried floral arrangement to the left of the wolf picture had colors more in contrast to the cedar wall and the wolf picture so that it stood out more to the eye, but it is very natural looking as it is. You are a very talented decorator, Jaylena! Nice work!

Jaylena, the accent wall is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job! One thing you might want to think about is hanging the wolf picture. If Ember jiggles the shelf it could slip and hit her along with anything else up there. Maybe secure the shelving to the wall or you may have already done that. It looks so good and makes your house a home more and more.

FROM HOME- TO HOMESTEAD, you know how you know where you're supposed to be when you can leave your miter saw outside your house for a few weeks without it winding up in a pawn shop in Eugene Oregon, The wall looks great, maybe a few dry red and green eucalyptus branches mixed in that little vase will give it some fall color, and besides that they smell great...not the fake ones the real deal...NO FAKE RICE!

Just gorgeous as always Jaylena!!! It looks amazing❤️❤️. I have a similar wall coming in the front door but my steps are right there. I love the cedar n bookshelf. I might “borrow” some ideas but I would dry brush n distress the wall n add a white or navy bookcase (depending on what other accent colors I choose). I picked a color that mimics sand for the walls. I actually took a print of a beach scene n matched the color-I have to admit it matches perfectly. You Jaylena are truly my muse my decorating inspiration !!!!!❤️❤️❤️
