For anyone asking what the “sc” “dec” etc means: sc=single crochet inc=increase (two crochets in the same loop) dec=decrease (slide your hook under just the front yarn of the next two “v”s, then crochet.) In the writing, the first number is the number of row(s) you are at in the pattern... the inc, or dc, or sc is telling you what to do with your hook... the “x#” is how many times to do that pattern with your hook... and the last number is how many “v”s you should have on that row when you finish it. So... “4. (sc, dec) x4 (18)” would mean on the 4th row of what you’re working on, alternate single crocheting and decreasing 4 times. You should end up with 18 “v”s when you’re done with that row. If all of this is still too confusing, just KZbin “how to crochet increase” or “how to invisible decrease”. Good luck.

For those using safety eyes put them in between round 14-15 and 7 stitches apart. Good to know before you stuff and sew up. Great video. I loved that she wrote the pattern on the top. I could just mute and do each row as it came up love the way you do your SC decrease. If you cannot follow hers, you can always just skip a stitch. In this type of tight crocheting, you do not see the missing stitch. if you are a beginner, this video will not be for you go learn the stitches first, learn how to read a pattern ,then come back and do this pattern. It is so cute. It is worth it.

I am just learning Amigurumi thank you for such good instructions. I like the idea that you don't talk about anything and everything that has nothing to do with the making of this toy. Sometimes you are watching a video and following along and they go off the project and talk about the Cat, dog or the weather, and it's all written down on the instructions. It can be so frustrating.😢 Once again thank you for your video 😊

The site depends on yarn and hooks. If you followed exact then you just must have used a bigger/ thicker yarn and a bigger hook. It's all good. If you want to small go with a small worsted or sport or even baby and use 3.0mm hook or smaller even. Some of that yarn can be 2.5 or 2.0 even. Just remember, thinner yarn, smaller hook equals smaller plush.
