DIY Adorable Halter Neck Baby Top With Pleated Skirt Cutting and Stitching | Very Easy Baby Dress

Welcome back to our channel. Today, we have an adorable project in store for you - a halter neck baby top paired with a pleated skirt. Whether you’re making it for your little one or as a heartfelt gift, this project is sure to melt hearts! So, grab your fabric and let’s dive into the steps.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
Before we get started, make sure you have all the materials you need:
• Fabric for the top and skirt (choose soft and breathable fabrics for your baby’s comfort)
• Scissors
• Measuring tape
• Pins
• Sewing machine
• Thread
• Iron
Step 2: Take Measurements
Measure your baby’s chest, waist, and length from the shoulders to the desired length of the skirt. Use these measurements to cut out the fabric pieces for the top and skirt.
Step 3: Cut the Fabric
Using your measurements, cut out the fabric pieces for the halter neck top and the pleated skirt. Remember to leave seam allowances.
Step 4: Sew the Halter Neck Top
Fold the top fabric in half and sew along the sides to create the bodice. Then, fold and hem the edges to create a neat finish. Attach straps for the halter neck, making sure they’re long enough to tie comfortably around your baby’s neck.
Step 5: Create the Pleats

Step 7: Attach the Skirt to the Top

Step 8: Finish and Hem
Finally, finish any remaining edges and hem the bottom of the skirt for a polished look.
