tda 2822m is an integrated circuit sensitive enough to use a preamplifier. with a preamplifier, it can be too loud to spoil the quality of the hearing

Even at the weakest signal, the sound was "broken". Chinese chips are often faulty, this is not the first time this has happened to me. I have a whole batch of 10 TDA2822M chips that are very bad.

In my opinion, this is a faulty design of the LM358 stage. In order to be able to amplify the negative half-wave, there must be something at the input at half the operating voltage or at least at a voltage other than zero. I would try connecting pin 3 on the LM358 to half the voltage with a second 10kOhm resistor to Vcc.

I agree. The schematic is probably bad, but that's the kit I got. Although I would also consider the quality of the LM358 itself
