Stayed at this same place and had the same trip in January of 2017. My guide was shine and he was really good. My buddies had Patterson and said he was really good guide as well

Hi, the guides I used were Marvin Miller and Mark Bastian. You're right - it WAS a long time ago, but from memory Marvin was fun, super-clean modern boat, and put me onto plenty bones; Mark was a quieter guy but I got a lot of helpful coaching from him on EVERYTHING (casting, spotting fish, flies, retrieve etc), older boat but I caught plenty of fish. Personal preference as always, but I'd probably go with Mark again if I had to choose.

Awesome video! My wife and I did the same exact trip. 2 days guided, 2 DIY. Paterson and DJ were our guides. We stayed at the same place too, we even took the bikes too. A little extra tire pressure would have been nice, lol. Did you check out Greens Conch stand?

I am heading down to the same spot the week before Christmas for a few DIY days. Any suggestions on spots that you found productive. Looking at the flat by Turtle cove now have read a few good things.Great Video!!!

Hi Robert, glad you enjoyed the video! I fished two spots DIY. First was the flat directly from the Seascape Inn. There's an island just offshore, i found both sides of that plus the flat further south towards the Inn had fish 2+ hours either side of the low tide. Keep an eye out for shrimp jumping as a result of being chased by large shoals of bonefish and jacks. I caught 6 bones "blind casting" into just such a shoal. The second spot i fished was at Lisbon Creek - Mickey @ Seascape will lend you a bike and give you directions - it's a 20-30 minute peddle, but well worth it. This is also a low tide flat, 2.5 hours either side of the low tide. I saw a LOT of BIG bones on that flat (you can just make out some in the video if you know where to look). And it's a beautiful place. Hope you find them and catch a few!

Ha - just realized you've been to Mangrove Cay before so sorry if the above is telling you stuff you already know. And yes - he did! Very amusing.
