DIY Anderson Connector jumper cables

Using Anderson connectors to make quick connect jumper cables. We also build and instal the connector under the hood of the truck.

I used the red sb 175 as well, and I mounted my plug in the bumper so I don’t need to open the hood. I also have an Anderson connector on both ends of my 20 foot cable because my other vehicles have Anderson plugs as well. I made a set of clamps on 3 foot wires in case I need a jump from a vehicle that doesn’t have the plug. One more thing I did, on one end of my 20 foot cables, I used a black connector because it will mate to any color sb 175. Having the plugs in the bumper is really handy especially if freezing rain left a layer of ice preventing you from opening the hood. Just plug in and hit the remote start.

I have this setup on my Jeep Wrangler. Bought the Jumper Cable Kit, with the Anderson Connectors already installed, from "Fleet Farm". This was over 8 years ago. Mine are, 4 gauge, 16 feet long, and still working great. I needed a reliable vehicle jumping system. I didn't like opening my hood every time a vehicle needed a jump. Specially when we had to move all the cars on the car-lot for Snow Removal. And yes, I also used my Jeep for Snow Removal.

Once you start using the quick disconnects on things it's hard to go back to anything else.

Love Anderson PP and SB. I mounted a SB50 by my battery using some 8awg wire. Put some SB50's on my charger and 2000A Nexpow jump starter I keep in the Truck. Quick and easy if I ever need to charge or Jump the truck. Cut the Jumper wires the Nexpow came with and put 2 SB50's on them so I can still use the normal Jumpers if I have to use it to jump someone else's vehicle. Also I went with 8 awg because that is what the Nexpow cables are, and I had some laying around. Never had a Issue with them. Best connectors ever made.

Big fan as well. I just did some new Power Pole connectors today as well. I'm going to have to do a video on all the interchangeable gadgets I have.

I'm considering running an Anderson disconnect to the back as well as the front... I've already done my jumper cables this way, but haven't put the connector on the inflator yet.

Sure makes things more convenient especially when you get your compressor converted over too.

2 guage. 2/0 would be overkill for something like this.
