Don't worry you can change the battery if you overcharge 😏 or you can buy some single cell 3.7v bms it's very cheap...

Hi, if you want to use a 1.2V battery then use a QX5252 solar light controller and a 100uH inductor and a 2V Solar panel. If you download the QX5252 datasheet, schematics are included
