DIY 720 AWNING CREATED BY GRAHAM - FIRST PART
Here we see Graham building a 270 Awning for JAUNTI,
It takes a lot more to do than what is shown here in this video, so as long videos arent our game, we will show part 1 here.
The beginning of an amazing awning begins where Graham designs and draws the relevant things to do to get this awning off the ground.
Alot of thought and research went into this awning, Even KZbin searching to find the appopriate fundementals needed
So Graham starts cutting steel and welding them and grinding them.. sparks flew in our little garage as basic hand tools were being used.
We old school and we do a lot of manufacturing with basic tools.. no power drivers, or digital cut off machines or power hand tools. All is done by hand.
And takes a while, but to sit back after a job has been completed and is well done makes me smile.. thinking ah I still have the basic tool abillity,
Anyway view this video and see for yourself, how to begin making an awning that opens up and closes easily with no time at all..
The simple Convenience it gives us is the main reason Graham wants this on our van,
Think about it, we park and open the awning, our old one would take ages to set up and then stay poles took even longer. When we wanted to just pop out of a camp site for an investigating/exploring Jaunt, we would have to spend at least 1/2 an hour packing it up.
With this 270 Awning, one small locking pin opened and walk the awning
round to the holding bag and Zap! we on our way, Awesome idea this and a lot of joy to come with it.
