We also have not experienced dry locs after each wash (I believe that is what you are referring to the locs being soft). Hi there. I was reading your comment and smiled as shikaka does sting your eyes. As kids back home in India we never knew what shampoo was. All we did was use shiakaka powder mixed in rice starch that mom would have saved for us. It does sting but if you keep your eyes closed when you start to wash your hair and the water is running down your face keep eyes closed. But honestly it is worth the try to ty it as all of the ingrdients mentioned have soothing, cleansing and natural and super conditioning as Amla and fenugrek seeds have a long history of fabulous properies. I add sandalwood powder too this mix about 3 tsp when i use it as a bath bar. it is so invigorating when massaged into your scalp. for the body bad i add lavender and Patchouli oil or japanese peppermint oil. with some lavender. Enjoy.

Hi new friend ☺️ So happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I measured the soaps beforehand by cutting them in small pieces and weighing them on a food scale. If I stated 1/2 cup, that was an error it should read 1/2lb. Happy soap making to you 😊

@@GROWingInLov3 thank you for your reply. I have one more question for you. I made one batch with your exact measurements(1/2 cup) and got exactly half of the quantity that you made.
