DIY Baby Nest | How to sew your own baby nest | Free pattern

Hello everyone and welcome to LA CROITORIE channel. My name is Poly and in today’s video I am going to show you how to make this Baby Nest. In the video you will find step by step instructions and guidance. You can download the pattern for free from the LA CROITORIE website (link below).
***Please download the pattern from the website!!! The pattern in the video has a mistake at the length and width. The correct length is 120 cm and 90 cm width.
The linen baby nest is:
• PERFECT FOR NEWBORNS AND INFANTS’ SENSITIVE SKIN: linen has unique antibacterial properties, which prevent reproduction of bacteria and fungus, repeal harmful micro flora.
• THERMOREGULATING: linen are breathable, durable, insulates in the winter and cools in the summer. That creates just the perfect environment for babies to sleep and feel comfortable without sweating or feeling cold.
• THE PERFECT BABY GIFT IDEA FOR BABY REGISTRY, BABY SHOWER, NEW BABY.
Skill: intermediate
Fabric suggestion: organic linen, organic cotton & hypoallergenic stuffing & wadding
Amount of fabric needed: 2.4m x 1.4m (L x W) organic linen, 1kg hypoallergenic stuffing, 1.4m x 0.4m (L x W) wadding, 3m of cotton string
Time: 4-5 hours

This is a wonderful easy project to complete. However, and please don’t take this as a criticism, I noticed that you sew over your pins with your machine. This is a dangerous practise, sewing machines are not made to sew over metal pins whatever the size they are. There is always to potential for them to come loose and fly up in the air possibly causing an eye or facial injury. Again, well done on sharing this project. Hugs from South 🇦🇺(Australia)

I don’t understand the measurments... shouldn’t the lenght of the nest be 120 cm if the mattress is 70 cm and the measurments on the sides (18 +2 +5=25) egals 50 cm ( considering both sides)
