My attempt at translating her tutorial into written pattern: ch=chain, hdc=half double crochet, sc = single crochet, st = stitch, sl=slip stitch, PM=place st marker The hat: Start with a Magic Circle. Ch 1, 8 hdc into circle, Hook into first hdc to prep for next round, PM, close the circle, *Optionally tie the tail and working yarn together to prevent loosening. (8) As this is working in continuous rounds, do NOT sl at the ends. At the start of each round be sure to PM. Add your color changes as desired, to create the cow pattern. 1: 2hdc in each stitch around. (16) 2: Repeat [2 hdc, 1hdc in next] around. (24) 3: Repeat [2hdc in next, 1hdc in next 2] around. (32) 4: Repeat [2hdc, 1 hdc in next 3 st] around. (40) 5-10: 1hdc in each st around. (40) 11: 1hdc, PM, Repeat [2hdc, 1hdc in next] around. (60) 12: 1hdc, PM, Repeat [2hdc, 1hdc in next] around. (90) 13: 1hdc, PM, Repeat [1hdc in each] around. (90) Remove stitch marker, 1sc in next 2, 1 sl in next 2, pull through and cut off yarn. Ears (make 2): Slip knot onto your hook. Ch6. 1: in the 2nd ch from your hook, 2sc. 1sc in next 4st, 2sc in next st. (7) **turn your work upside down** In the bottom of the original chains, 1sc in next 4 loops, 2sc in the bottom of your first sc to finish, and set up to (12) 2: 2sc in first st, 1sc in next 4 st, 2sc, 1sc, 2sc, 1sc in next 4 st, (15) 3: 2sc, 1sc, 2sc, 1sc in next 5st, 2sc, 1sc, 2sc, 1sc in next 5st. (20) Sl and cut yarn leaving a very long tail. Horns (make 2): Start with a Magic Circle. 6 sc into circle, Hook into first sc to prep for next round, PM, close the circle, *Optionally tie the tail and working yarn together to prevent the magic circle loosening. (6) Be sure to move your st marker up each round. 1: 2sc in each st around. (12) 2: Repeat [2sc, 1sc in next] around. (18) 3: 1sc in each st around. (18) Slip st and cut yarn leaving a very long tail. Attaching: 1: For the horns, Optionally use some fluff or yarn to stuff them 2: Place the hat folded in half so it can lie flat on the table. position and your horns on the edge of the hat three rounds from the top. Using the long tail, sew the horn to the hat. 3: For the ears, start by using the yarn tail and a needle to tack the bottom corners of the ear together, to give it a nice rounded shape at the base. 4: Then use the remaining yarn tail to attach them to the hat, just below the horns.

For the horn, doing it like the video made it a flat circle for me. I started with 6 sc in the magic circle (no ch 1 to start) R1. 1 sc in each stitch around R2. 2 sc in first stitch and 1 sc in the next. Repeat that around R3-4. 1 sc in each stitch around. Finished with a slip stitch. Hope that helps anyones else who was struggling ❤

Hey there! If you want to increase the size of the hat, you can continue the 1hdc inc, 2hdc inc, 3hdc inc, 4hdc inc, and so on and continue this pattern till it reaches the desired size! And then you could follow up with just the hdcs to make up the height. Hope this helps ❤ Btw inc means 2hdc in one stitch*

I like the final product, but not seeing the pattern written anywhere, changing colors not making sense and repeating mistakes makes following this tutorial kinda hard :(
@bubblesnations584710 ай бұрын
well the color changes dont have to be the same as the creators. & in regard to a written pattern, you could find a free pattern to a basic bucket hat anywhere & just do the color changing wherever you want.
@sweetartttv9 ай бұрын
@bubblesnations5847 sure but as a creator I'd never post a video of step by step with out providing some kind of written explanation or a link to something useful.
@rosygutierrez-m6z9 ай бұрын
@@sweetartttvFrr, plus the whole reason people are here is because they like the color the creator used 🤣😭 I just love to write patterns and use my tablet to relax while I crochet, but video only patterns make me have to watch the whole thing to write it down 😭 just suckss!
@sweetartttv8 ай бұрын
@user-sr6yp7dy6g I did that and even trying to write it down gave me a headache because at a certain point she just stopped telling you how many st would be in each row and yeah.... for the ear she didn't even state new rows and messed up at least twice so I was just completely lost.

Hi! You totally can, it’ll just take a bit longer to complete it since you’ll have more ends to weave in!(:

Yall don’t do what I did & not listen for the hook size🤣😭. I was using a 3.5mm while she’s using a 16. It came out so small. Imma do a prototype then upsize & remake it. The bucket part is the size of my palm. I’m not at the rim.
@stormied.99524 ай бұрын
The hook I’m using now is a J/10-6.00mm. I had to go til I reached 7. After her round of doing every 4 you put 2. I did 2 in every 7th slot. So I added 3 more rows then I was able to get it to the size of my daughter’s head. She’s 1.

this was literally the hardest and most confusing pattern i’ve ever watched. I mean the final product is nice but there are little to none indications of when to switch colors. you just say “and meet be back at the end of the round” and bam there’s a new color. I literally just went to ur final project and counted everything so I can finish this darn thing. I mean I guess nice tutorial but it was NOT for me or for any beginner.
