A few tips from someone that works with professionals: serge the seam where the skirt and bodice come together. It saves a lot of time, and that’s what the serger is there for!

@turntechgodbeheaded very well, it's a pretty dress! except on the insistence of my mom that it isn't necessary, i didn't pre wash the fabrics so after washing it later, when it was done, the lining shrunk a tiny bit and the bodice is a little warped, but otherwise it's pretty nice

Question! How do you come up with the measurements for more specific shapes, like for a bodice, when you’re first starting something new? Do you just work off ur dress form or smth different? Curious cuz that’s always the problem I run into when starting to work on something (although I don’t have a dress form) also great job it looks so pretty! ❤️❤️
