DIY Bait TANK - 1 year after build (TIPS)

Bait tank for holding healthy baitfish for musky and flathead catfish is often not an easy task. The bio filter is the heart of the tank and after having this bait tank for 1 entire year I go over what I have changed about the bait tank and bio filter. Thanks for watching

Nice setup u need to upgrade your pump to 950 to 1000 to get the 4 times per hour rule for pumping water. I have my tank for bluegill and I only had a 650 gph pump now I’m doing 985 gph and it’s nuts how much my fish r calm and waiting to be bait they don’t pump walls or anything just a friendly tip bud. But love the setup

Awesome video thank you for saving me alot of money. I have a question have you tried to run the PVC pipe around the tank with holes in it to oxygenate the water that way? Will it work for this setup. I am wanting to keep skipjack, shad ect. Thank you again

I just made one. My bait tank is outside though. The water is starting to turn green. It is in the sun a bit of the day. Any ideas on how to control the water from turning green??

if i add a gallon of pond water to my bait tank when i add my wild shiners, will that introduce the bacteria i need?
