I make bath bombs are the time, I have never used food coloring, I use soap colorant, I have never used glitter, and never had it stain my tub, and when made correctly, they are amazing, relaxing, don't blame the bath bomb blame the ingredients and recipe you used

@jenny: Yeah, the store-bought ones made in China where they don't regulate anything. I really don't think that's a good choice, LOL. Your best bet is to make your own and skip the dye and skip the glitter. As long as they Fizz, that'll be fun for the kiddos.

Normally I buy my daughter LUSH bath bombs but they add up fast $$$$ so Ironically my daughter and I are making bath bombs today after school!!¡!! And your video came out today thank Goodness!!!!I will NOT add the food dye for sure you guys saved me !!!!! You saved one family from chaos I would have lost my mind because we renovated the bathroom just few years back and it's my dream bathroom!! Can't imagine that kind of clean up! Hope it all came off, please add the scenes of clean up and aftermath when you do the Nailed It series, we are wondering if it ever came clean!

LOL. I love how panicky and intensely dramatic Kim gets when she sees and realizes that the blue color is not rinsing off the kids' skin right away. That is such the over the top Mom of Today reaction. Our moms would have been like, "ah just slap some soap on it and don't use my good towels to dry off." It'll wear off. LOL!

It was the blue food dye. I make bath bombs with just a few simple ingredients. Baking soda, critic acid and a few squirts of witch hazel. Lavender Essential oil and for color mineral powder. 🙂

Bath bombs that are sold in stores don’t have food coloring in it. I used to have bath DYE pods and they would not dye ANYTHING but the water. They were by crayola. If you really want to try bath bombs, buy some.

store bought bath bombs always work, from stores like Lush! They actually smell pretty nice. Try buying one from Lush and it will work!

Love your videos! They always brighten my day. Wanted to give you a tip for the food coloring fails in the nailed it videos. Bleach. The bathtub would have come clean in two shakes if you'd sprayed it with Clorox bleach solution or cleaner. I also use a tiny bit well diluted on a damp cloth to get food color off my skin, and wash skin thoroughly afterward. Environmental cleaners have their place, but sometimes good old fashioned bleach is a necessity.

For all future skin dyed colors grab a bottle of clarifying shampoo-available in most stores/ask your hair dresser- and apply to the skin and scrub. It will fade it the first washing and usually the second will have it all gone. Did the Color run a few years ago and was not prepared for how the color soaks into the skin!

Oh my goodness! I just want to say that I'm so sorry that happened! I can say that I've only done a bath bomb once and nothing bad happened (except it left a little bit of grain which I had to wash out of my parents bath tub but was fine) what worried me was when I heard there was glitter in it - I've never ever heard of a bath bomb with glitter in it. My friends were also obsessed with making them and doing DIY videos but never had problems - if you want to try bath bombs again I definitely wouldn't do them on your own - I would buy them and if you do make it at home, DONT USE GLITTER! Love you guys! Again sorry that happened! 🙃

I make bath bombs a lot, and I don't use glitter, food coloring. I actually use metal molds and I don't keep them in there for 24 hours, just hardly pressed together for a few seconds!! LOL! SO FUNNY!!

My wife and daughter have been making 'bath bombs' the past couple years. As we were watching the video and you were adding food coloring, they both said, "Uh Oh." They use washable Crayola watercolors that they grind up. We've never had an incident of staining. Love the videos! Thanks for posting.

Go to Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. They have soap dye. It doesn’t stain your skin or your tub. Also they have soap scents if you don’t have essential oils.

Every time they leave out or substitute an ingredient, it's a disaster. I thought the oils would be needed to help it all slide off, not stick, etc. As for tub, scouring powder. People, creamy soap like Dove or something oily.

OMG, this is hilarious! I make bath bombs a lot and soap--the trick is to use mica powder colorant--WILL NOT STAIN ANYTHING and adds a nice shimmer. No need for extra (excess) glitter. I put small toys inside ours and give them out as party favors or valentines for my son's class. But it's kind of a miracle you got nice, solid bath bombs in the first place, living in the South. They are VERY humidity sensitive. So congrats on that at least!
