Excellent video. I'm miles away from my load tester when I need it but I have a voltmeter I fitted into my dash. I wish some of this knowledge old mechanics had was still easy to find. Now I can do something with the voltage drop numbers!

Thanks! Yes, I also wish this best simple knowledge was easy to find. Me I do a lot of searches I guess =). Great to have a voltmeter in the dash. I have a cigarette lighter one, fits most cars. Thanks for your comment.

I´m not sure that the multimeter set to max/min with a 2-3 readings per second will necessary catch the true minimum when you crank the car?

Nice video. What model of uni-t is that clamp meter? Camera is not bad - it is focused well from cca 50-80cm and further. Some cameras can focus from shorter distance but then they tend to have problems with focus on object that are far from camera.

Thanks! The UNI-T instrument is UT204A.

Is that a fluke process meter 789 used for instrumentation and injecting 4-20mA?

Yes it's a Fluke 789. I use the source and simulating capabilites (active and passive) 4-20 mA often when testing or searching for failure i.e. seeking controlled input/output circuit boards that is made to take this current. In my case usually ABB I/O:s in the industry.
