lol! we went through the same frustration trying to locate the ceiling studs during the laundry room makeover. studfinder said they were right there where they were supposed to be, but every time we drilled.... nothing. 😖 i was fit to be tied. good job finding those suckers!!🤣

My friend's husband works wi Insurance companies contact him to remove mildew and smoke damage from homes. He said you can go to the hardware store and spend big dollars to remove mildew or fill a spray bottle with 5% vinegar. Don't wash just spray really well. Wait 24 hrs. check to see if you got it all if not spray area again. He said it might take 2 or 3 times max. He said just don't touch the area before you spray it so you don't spread the mildew. After you spray with vinegar, it disappears, waiting for the area to dry well, and then paint unless really damaged.

Please put wax on your screws when you are having a hard time with a particular type of wood. It can help a lot (not always, but give it a try once or twice). A drywall lift might be useful, also.

Mold is no joke. I had remediation and still I had to sell my house and start fresh leaving behind all my furniture. It’s almost impossible to get all the spores out of your house and when you are reactive to mold like I am you just need to start over.

Personally, I would never never install bamboo wallpaper! I had that in my house when I moved in, it is the worst stuff to ever have to tear out it completely ruined. The wall had to resurface the whole wall after I got the bamboo wallpaper out talk about a mess.
