DIY Bee Skep - Bee Hive -
Materials needed: Dollar Tree- 3 pack (for $1) mini planters
Nautical Rope x2
Floral Pick of your choice ;)
Black marker - sharpie worked great!
Hobby Lobby- Triple thick clear varnish (for honey)
Black & Honey (I used caramel) colored
acrylic paint
Buffalo Check Ribbon
hot glue gun, lots, & LOTS of glue sticks!

I love how you did your 🐝 hive ❤👍 I watched someone else do one but they didn't do the honey dripping and I love how you did that😁❤❤ what else can I use to paint the 🍯 I have a ton of acrylic paint but not what you used 😭 ant ideas of what I could mix to make it look 👌?? Thanks for sharing 🙋❤❤

Thank you! you could try using glossy mod podge with yellow paint, and maybe add a little drop of brown to the yellow to give it a more realistic look!

So you're NOT suppose to add hot glue to your glue stick before inserting it? Interesting since I've seen this tip so many times lately and started doing it. So far my glue gun hasn't clogged up yet! :)

I thought it was a genius hack when I first did it, but then it clogged my glue gun so bad I had to replace it. 😩

I got my bees through Amazon. They are actually bulletin board tacks. I pushed them into the rope. You can also pull the pin out.

Did you start glueing the rope on the top edge of the planter or close to the edge

Hi! i tried to glue it on the top of the edge, or as close as I could get it to stay. when placed on the counter, the rope is what touches, not the planter ;)
