I love the educational factor of your videos and the comedy helps too 🤣 but who knew there was different kinds of perlite. 4 big box stores and 3 green houses and No one carries this😮 So I ordered off line and this stuff is big as rocks. So now I'm on the search again. What size should I use for what plants?

Remember if you're buying pure peat moss that it's hard to wet without a wetting agent. Plant-safe wetting agents are cheap and easy to find and make watering so much easier. The water soaks in instead of running off.

I think that is the healthiest Calathea I have ever seen...not going to show this to mine😂

When you see "Imperial Soil" does that just mean without Peat Moss? What would you use instead of Peat Moss, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it attract fungus gnats?
@tannertheplanter42135 ай бұрын
Imperial would just be a name the company chose and doesn’t indicate, to my knowledge, anything special about the ingredients. Watering plants too frequently will attract fungus gnats, not peat moss! Coco-peat is a great alternative though :)

New subscriber! I'm so struggling with my prayer plants- they are pretty much goners- was just getting ready to throw them out & they both are showing new green.😯yay!!! I was thinking of repotting in your soil mix, but I think I need to leave them alone & exercise some patience. I think I can call myself a "helicopter" plant mom.
