How did you decide which size to cut? Did you go by the body measurement or the garment measurement? Would you say that it tapers into the waist or is mostly straight?

I just went ahead with the body measurements. Typically as I go along, if I want to make clothing adjustments to get a better fit, I do it along the way. But the body measurements gives a great place to start. I would say it tapers a little bit, but not a lot. Overall I liked the pattern a lot. Very comfortable

@@ElenaMarieSewing I'm finishing up my first project with this pattern and I agree, it's a good one. The only issue I had was coaxing the elastic into the waistband. I was sewing with a poly/span material so it was a little sticky. Next time I'll either cut the waistband a bit wider or will use 1/2" elastic instead of the 3/4 that the pattern calls for. I am an experienced sewist and I loved your video. Thx!
