Excellent work! Though a minor suggestion if I may: The "boomyness" that you pointed out may be due to not having enough damping inside that cabinet. Lining all the sides and back with 1" to 1.5" thick open cell foam and filling the center with loose poly stuffing should fix this. Just pay extra attention not to impede airflow around the port. This should give you a massive improvement in bass and midrange clarity due to less of the internal waves coming back through the cone and damping of cabinet resonances. Happy Hifi-ing!

I think it would be cool to add an adapter for power tool batteries. At 18v or 20v might benefit from a couple of them with a buck converter. It also wouldn't look as polished but for shop speakers could be fun.
