In Daihatsu Terios '97 with this connected the engine not starts at all and i guess this does not work in the half other models of each brand.It is not reasonable to buy 10 of them for test until it finally works or permanent destroy your car.

I purchased ELM 327 could not get the disk to transfer info to my phone malware on disk would not work. I also tried onto my laptop no luck with that either. Why do these people send out disks with malware on them it must cost us thousands of hours trying to get the dam things to work.

There's wifi and there's Bluetooth adapters. If you take a look at Bluetooth, we've got Bluetooth 2.0 adapters (Android only) and Bluetooth 4.0 adapters (android and iOS)

Biggest Complaint, DOES IT PAIR WITH MY BLUETOOTH? IT DIDN'T WITH MINE EITHER AND I HAVE 2 TWO OF THEM. LOL. I READ HERE THESE MESSAGES, I HAD ONE ON MY TOYOTA CAMRY 2013 AND THE SAME PROBLEM, I WONDER IF IT HAS A Y TO DO WITH THAT CD?? HMM? SHOULDN'T.

Yes...but the BEST part's You can ERASE your Engine Fault Code...

I had the same struggle. And then I found out you can't connect directly with your phones bluetooth until you have the compatible obd2 app and then you connect to it through the application

A generic ELM 327 device that uses Bluetooth as the interface method, won't work with your unmodified iPhone, better find aspecific ELM 327 device specifically designed to work with iPhones

The blue obd2 mini ecu diagnostic unit sold on ebay, amazon & everywhere else is not what they say it is. My unit arrived and after several attempts was able to get it linked to my car & phone. My car has a definate egr / vacuum problem, i know this because i have had it diagnosed by a dealer, it was cleaned & decarbonized, ran again like a new car. 6 Months later again needed decarbonizing, my engine light came on gain, i connected this silly piece of shit elm27 all excited to get a diagnostic, only to find out that the unit says no fault, all OK, Bullshit. It does not work, do not waste on on this shit, put it on my 5 other vehicles & it does not recognize any of those cars either, Absolute crap, bin it.

I had a similar experience with a 2006 Nissan Tiida and this adapter. No matter what setting I change or app I use it would not show anything other than battery voltage. I deliberately unplugged the MAF sensor to cause the Engine Check Light to come on which it did then I tested this device and it showed no codes or faults. But the strange thing is it did successfully clear the Check Engine Light! I tried it on a modern Corolla and it does show all instruments but didn't check if it would read faults or not. So it's a hit or miss as to which car it would work on.

So you had a problem. Doesn't mean that this can't be a useful tool, probably mechanics don't like it because they miss out on that one hundred dollar diag fee here and there. I know that this tool can be useful in a lot of ways. Not saying I'll swear by it but not "binning" it either
