Heat up in the oven to melt (instructive videos on this) and use a flat board to press into sheets. Repeat. Take several sheets and stack, melt, and press into a sheet around a quarter inch thick. Then use those sheets to make the armor. It can be heated up to make it shapeable for forming around arms and legs, etc. The bonus is you get to recycle.

UK "knife" laws. They cover not only knives and blades, but "offensive weapons" in general, and the classification of offensive is subjective to the circumstances of the individual carrying. They accomodate "tools of the trade" IE, a chef with an 8" kitchen knife, or a carpenter with screwdrivers, stopped in the street would be far less likely to land in trouble than an unemployed kid in a tracksuit would. The smart man has add-ons to make their situation believable - want to carry a knife in the car? Make it a nice roll of kitchen knives. Want to carry a bat? A lot of the medieval enthusiasts use greatcoats as Brigantines (thick padded coats). The coarse, strong cloth is thick, hot, and more protective than hardened leather. If it has a nice collar or hood it'll give good neck protection. It's lighter than maille, cheaper, blends in better, and can be made into a coat of (internal) plates put bits of steel or cutting board in the liner, and make the sleeves and cuffs come down to your knuckles.
@jeffreybarton12975 ай бұрын
@@thesayxx Yes, it's possible for an attack to hit a major artery in the arms, but I'd say it was much less likely than getting slashed on the outer arms. An armpit hit is possible, if the attacker knew his stuff. Ideally you'd have full arms, too. Trouble is you might end up getting fed up with the weight and trouble and not bother wearing it. What do you recommend for hoses for proho fire kit? Got 6 of the sprinklers like you have with bases and 2 gas 2-stroke water pumps. Pumps can use 1" or ght. Thinking toy hoses, but not sure the best amount to get. watched the vids you did a couple months ago, and would love to see what is in the two boxes/totes in the first fire prep vid.

I knew a medic in the Army, who always carried tampons and thick maxi pads, in his medic bag. The tampons were shoved into bullet holes to reduce bleeding, and maxi pads were used for blood absorbent pads for larger wounds.
@thesayxx5 ай бұрын
Tampons wont do much when you have a bullet hole. you need packing gauze. You usually pack a few meters of it into the wound and bandage it tight so the gauze stops the bleeding. Tampons are just too small, you are better off packing strips of your T-shirt into the wound, than a tampon.
@brettlaw43465 ай бұрын
Tampons have been pretty much abandoned as a combat medicine myth. They just don't have the volume to pack the wound cavity. You can keep up to date at Popo Medic.
@russellswanson1175 ай бұрын
@@thesayxx Like @thesayxx said, that’s most likely not going to work. A much larger volume of absorbent material is needed. Drop a tampon into a large bowl of water. Essentially, if a wound needs packing, you need a lot more material

Years ago i found myself in prison at the age of 17. A couple old timers helped me get small hard cover books that were being discarded and then sewing them into the back of the issued jacket. It was common to be attacked that way. The other thing I remember is eating state issued toothpaste at night because we were hungry... For the record once released i never went back. Thanks for the video

Just as a point of interest, there are around 500,000 shotgun certificate holders and 160,000 firearms license holders, with roughly 600,000 fire arms and 1.4M shotguns in private ownership in the UK, handguns are very highly restricted. The U.S. has about 400 million Fire arms, and an estimated 40 million of them are AR-15's I actually believe the AR-15 estimate to be low, we can also buy level IV military body armor except for in a few states that have banned it...the ridiculous thing is that the cities and states with the strictist cum laws have the highest rate of crime.
