Thank you for your amazing tutorial videos! Love them! At this moment, I am making a bolster pillow and have a question that is stumping me! After sewing the cording on to the round ends, I measure around the circumference of the cording (or take the diameter x 3.14) for the body fabric to go around. BUT, now don't I need to add 1 inch to that total so I have enough fabric for a 1/2" turn under edge that each side of the hidden zipper attaches to?? If I just measure and cut the exact circumference, I won't have any to turn under for the zipper!! Though I see your 1/2" ironed edges before sewing the zipper, there's no mention of adding this 1" total to the fabric cut. What am I missing?? Thank you!
@MimzyandCompany3 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right! You do need to add an inch for the zipper allowance. Sorry if I forgot that in the video!

Bias! you can cut on the straight grain if you're in a pinch and don't have enough fabric for bias cut. But it doesnt work well because it doesn't go around curves neatly, it causes creases in the welt.
