How to build a simple DIY plywood bookcase with a limited tool set! We built this project live at Workbench Con this year, at the Kreg booth. Definitely a less controlled and more difficult setting for building furniture...but it was a ton of fun. Even though this project is fairly simple, it's still a good skill builder piece as it incorporates working with some angles, dealing with orders of operation, and other skills that can be translated to many projects.

Cheers for promoting the idea of anchoring this to the wall! As a former coworker at IKEA, we literally had this drilled into us every day when we worked with customers to remind them to do the very same thing for overall safety. As always, great job!

I believe the dust collection isn't as good because the front splinter guard isn't put down, which allows a lot of dust to escape out the front.

Hey Chris, how does the Kreg track saw compare to the Festool, you have and use both right? Looking to buy one or the other, is the Festool "worth" the extra $300?
@Foureyes.Furniture
@Foureyes.Furniture 4 жыл бұрын
I like them both and find them to be equally good and useful. Using the Kreg on the table takes it to another level, and I've never used the MFT so I can't really compare the two

How does that Ryobi Cordless Sander compare to your Mirka system back in the shop? Trying to decide between those two given the similar price points...
@Foureyes.Furniture
@Foureyes.Furniture 4 жыл бұрын
I'd say they are pretty similar in that they're both on the same quadrant of the color wheel in terms of their paint jobs. But if you value a yellow/Gold aesthetic and/or a really great sanders. I'd go with the Mirka.
